Chapter 5 by Titlecardpink Titlecardpink

What's next?

A trip to the infirmary.

"Oh! You're up. How do you feel?" The nurse is quite pretty for her age. 40, blonde, and fit. You're guessing on her age though.

"Horrible." Your head feels like a rat trapped inside of a balloon. "How long have I been out?" You put a hand to your jaw, it feels swollen and bruised to all hell. "It has been about two hours now, I did some healing to your ribs when you arrived, probably why you slept so long." As the nurse explains you try to get up, you nearly vomit when you do, your head pounds and pounds.

"Merlin's beard he struck you something mighty didn't he." The nurse puts a gloved hand against the side of your neck, "Heavy trauma, lucky he only hit your jaw." She says as she pulls her wand out and begins tracing it over your face. The light is warming and soothing. "Oh wow, that's much better." you sigh and relax. "The spell rapidly heals an area of the body, but it drains the patient of their stamina and energy for the day. You may want to go and lay down for the day after this."

"I've only been to one class though." You have at least 4 more on the schedule.

"Canceled honey. Headmistress' orders, I hear they're even sending in some Aurors to check out the scene." She gives you a conspiratorial grin. "You can rest here if you'd like, I'm sure you'll be flooded with questions if you go outside right now. "

You take her up on the offer and rest your now sleepy body. Rest comes to you easy and soon you're dreaming.

The man is pale and ugly. His shadow writhes deep in the dungeons, he mutters spells in languid tones, he scratches at his skin, he grips a wand that is not there, he remembers magic from a better time. “Please no!” A black cloak slithers by, floating with grim grace. “Expecto patronum! Expecto patronu- OH GOD PLEASE HELP ME!”

Morning time at Hogwarts first comes with a rolling mist that blankets and obscures the lake and castle. This period of quiet calm lasts until the clouds break and rays of sunlight lance their way onto the grounds and through your window. You’re the first one up, it’s Saturday, your first weekend at Hogwarts. The infirmary is empty but for you, there's a shower nearby you can use as well. After freshening up you put your robes back on and head out. Your head feels remarkably clear and healthy. "It's like magic." You mutter and laugh to yourself ,wondering what you should do. The first place on your mind has to be the library, you’ve been itching to dive in there since arriving. You take a deep breath and set off on your path, the halls are wide and tall, and the lights shimmer all over the ancient castle. Your robe hangs loose as you walk past a soft spring breeze that floats on in from an open window facing the lake. It’s a simple path to the library, no rotating stairways on the way at all, something you’re thankful for.

The doors to the library are gorgeous, and you’ve seen some gorgeous doors in your time. The wood looks more expensive than all of your belongings put together, and the handles put most jewels to shame. You almost feel ashamed to touch such a beautiful piece of work. But you gotta get inside that library, so you put aside any sentiments and let yourself in. It’s quiet, which is to be expected, but it’s very, very quiet, empty but for one student. Coral looks up to see who else is privy to enter the library at such an hour. She eyes widen in surprise when she sees it’s you, the young Ravenclaw puts down her books and rushes over to you. “Turner! Are you okay?” She isn’t wearing her school robes, instead she has on a fluffy blue sweater and dark black jeans. “Good morning Coral, fancy meeting you here.”

“Yeah it is, I didn’t take you for the studious type. Especially after getting mollywhopped in the head.” Her expression is unreadable..

“What did you take me for then?” You laugh and place your things next to hers.

“I don’t know, really. I thought you would be more of the jock type? You’ve got the build.” Coral eyes you up and down unconsciously.

“I can’t even remember the last time I played a sport.” Seriously you can’t. “And normally you’d be right, I hate to study, but I think that orc knocked some sense into me yesterday.”

Coral laughs and puts a hand on your shoulder. “It's been crazy since then, I mean, the whole school was in uproar after what happened. You were no doubt sleeping off your war scars though." She smirks, then it drops, replaced by a warmer look. "That was scary, what happened, you were brave to fight back against that thing. If it was me?" She shakes her head.

"I was scared too Coral, scared shitless actually." Your hand goes instinctively to your wand. "I've never casted a spell like that, if it hadn't worked, or if I had studied wrong, who knows where I would be right now. There's so much I don't know. "

"I get where you’re coming from. You should read this one, it’s about defense against dark arts.” You take the book from Coral and turn it over in your hands, “A Guide to Vanquishing and Containing Dark Phantoms. Interesting title, what made you choose it?”

“It sounded cool, and I don't know, it's a hunch I've got about that orc.” Her voice is completely serious. You nod and begin digging into the book. You read and take notes for the next hour or so, falling into a comfortable rhythm of turning page after page, with Coral's soft scribbling to keep you company.

“Tingly tingly students where will you go? Peeves knows, Peeves knows, Peeves knows. Tiny tiny wizard, casting your spell, tiny little wizard I’ll send you to hell! “

“Hey did you hear that?” Coral looks up at the ceiling with a puzzled look on her face.

“No, is something wrong?” You look to where Coral is searching with her eyes.

“Swear I heard something just now. Over there, in the magical creatures section." Coral gets up from her seat and starts moving, it takes you a second to react and you scramble after her. As you near the source of the noise you begin to hear soft cackling. Like fifty alley cats all coughing up hairballs at the same time. “It’s a ghost, I’ve heard Hogwarts has them.” Coral is looking at the light blue apparition with wonder in her eyes, but you can’t help but be creeped out by the gnarled thing floating in the air. It looks like a man was mixed with a goblin then chopped up and put together again, “And who do we have here?” The ghost notices the two of you, it has a book in its hands, a real book, not a ghost book. “A snake and a raven come ambling my way! Stupid little students I’ll make you pay!” The ghost’s face twists into something dark and malevolent, it strikes fear deep in your bones, the ghost begins muttering words while opening his book. “Hey what are yo-” Sensing danger you step between Coral and the ghost, a spell rockets through your body, it vibrates and shakes you from the inside. You instantly feel a wave of lust come over you, as a debilitating hurricane of sexual thoughts seizes you. “Haahahah! Bet they won’t teach you that in class!” The ghost flits away into a far off corner of the library. You fall to your knees and nearly have an orgasm when Coral touches your shoulder, her smell seems so close now. Her shoulders in the sunlight, her lips trembling with curiosity, you need to take her, right here and right now. “Turner?” You stagger upwards and stumble back, you’re erect as a statue. “Turner!” Coral’s eyes widen to comical degrees and the young witch puts her hands over her face. Though her fingers are spread apart by a little bit. “I-I’m sorry, I think it was that damn ghost, I feel so…” You search for the correct word.

“Erotic?” She offers up, sneaking a peek at your impressive member. It’s a bit grandiose, you would have just said horny, “Erotic works. You should get away Coral, it’s taking everything in me to hold back right now.” Your voice goes shaky. Coral, however, doesn’t “get away”, she gets closer, and closer. “What are you holding yourself back from Turner?” And that does it, any semblance of control you had is whisked away into the soft whisper of her lips and you grab Coral by the waist. She gives a soft sigh and leans into your chest. “Just what is going on here!” It’s a quiet outcry, the whispered scream of a librarian. You break apart from Coral and display your profoundly hard erection to her. The old lady nearly has a heart attack and flees the scene. Coral staggers back and gasps. "Um... uh." Her face is bright red. "So... wanna go back to studying?" She looks at the ground, she's so close you can smell the shampoo on her hair, it's light and fragrant.

Make a move on her or go back to studying?
