A toy factory

“A toy factory!”

The bus was silent, not really sure of what to think of this announcement. The girls were the same, confused on why the school would pick someplace like a toy factory. Sure, it isn’t completely uninteresting, but still not the exciting announcement they were expecting.

Ms. Rose saw the confusion amongst the students, and said, “To clarify, we are to Karl’s Toys and Development Studios, a group of factories that are all dedicated to different productions. I know this may not be the type of thing you were expecting, but trust me when I say it is super interesting.”

This seemed to satisfy the students, including Tori and Vanessa as the bus left for its destination. As the ride went on, Tori and Vanessa talked about what they knew about the location.

“Hey V, have you heard of this place before?”

“A little bit, just that it is a popular company that creates all types of things.”

“That’s sounds actually kinda cool, I wonder what it will be like inside?”

Vanessa was curious as well, and many ideas swarmed her brain about the factory. Luckily, the long bus ride gave her much time to think, as the girls discussed the possibilities.

Eventually, the bus did arrive at the destination. What Vanessa saw as they arrived was extraordinary. The ‘factory’ was more of a massive complex that looked to be the size of a college campus. The buildings were incredible as well, with drastically different designs, some tall and futuristic and some more modern looking, one even looked like a castle. Just by looking, Vanessa could tell that it would take days to try and explore the entire complex.

Ms. Rose had the students enter the parking lot in front of the gates that led to this wonderland. Out front stood a man that was dressed in a flashy purple suit, with stars scattered around the fabric.

“Hello students,” said the man, “I am honored to be able to host such wonderful students at my establishment. I am Mr. Karl, the owner of all you see before you. Now, my factory is all about freedom, so having some strict schedule would go against everything this place stands for. Instead, you are all going to get a map and can go to any of the many locations inside the facility. So go have fun!” The man bowed and motioned towards a table stacked with maps. Vanessa and Tori rushed up to grab one and looking at it you never would be able to guess this was a factory. The design looked more like a amusement park, with a cartoonish look. The girls were unsure of where to start, with dozens of options to choose from. Eventually, the girls decided to go to…
