A summer graduation
“Graduating with a 2.2 and distinction Carrie Willows.” The Graduate Presenter announced.
You walked up on the stage dressed in your hat and grown. Accepted your certificate while Everyone clapped and returned to your seat. Next to your parents.
Later, you were getting drinks and having photos with your friends. Your parents were taking photos and kept saying how proud they are of you.
“I can’t believe we’ve graduated.” Marnie said as her and Brandy came over.
“These must be your fiancées.” Your mother remarked.
“It’s so nice to finally meet you.” Your father said.
“It’s nice to meet you too.” said Brandy. She shook your father’s hand. “You raised a good daughter. She is the glue that holds us together.”
“And she is a great swimmer for a human.” Marnie added.
“I’ll take that from a merfolk, that is a very strong compliment.” Your father replied.
“I have to say, the pair of you are both very beautiful young ladies. I hear you plan on having the wedding on the beach. I can’t wait.” Your mother added.
“You know there’s a bet on which of the mothers-of-the-brides is going to wear the biggest hat.” Brandy added.
“Well, challenge accepted.” Your mother replied.
