A sudden interruption, and darkness

In the brief silence which followed upon Chloe's exposure, the small group was suddenly reminded of the heavy downpour outside, and the girl had just barely sat back down again when a distant crash of thunder caused the lamps above them to flicker and then suddenly give up. The entire cabin was abruptly thrown in darkness, apart from the slight glow from the fireplace, which had almost died out as well due to nobody feeding it for quite some time.

"Oh, fuck!" Heather was the first one to react, and she was joined by Zack as they tried to blow some life in the fire again. The others were soon up and about as well, and she ordered them around to look for some candles and flashlights other than the ones available in their phones...

"It will take them some time to fix it..." The brunette informed them as she'd managed to find a number to the company providing their electricity, and she felt a bit disappointed to say the least as she surveyed the situation. While they wouldn't have to suffer much from cold, they'd only managed to find a limited amount of candles to light up the rooms, and it seemed like their game of cards was over for now - both due to the lack of light, unless they wanted to all huddle up around the fireplace, and because the mood was a bit ruined thanks to the weather and darkness.

"Oh, well..." Ashley seemed to agree with how she felt about the lost opportunity, but was still fairly high in spirits at least. It took more than just a little thunder to dissuade one of the Woodsen family, and the blonde seemed happy enough to just cuddle with Brandon for a while in their couch.

Vicky and Chloe looked a lot more gloomy however, as they'd both found a blanket to sweep around their naked shoulders while they huddled in one corner of each of the remaining two couches. It was difficult to believe the two of them would've wanted to play that game from the start, but now it seemed like they were more troubled than relieved by the abrupt ending.

Meanwhile, Zack and Gavin seemed to have fled the others when they could - or at least wouldn't return to the naked girl in their couch for now -, and were busy discussing what could have gone wrong with the electricity. The answer was obviously that some nearby power station had been hit by lightning, or possibly some wires on the way, and in either case it could well take until morning before someone could fix it.

"So, should we just make some sandwiches for dinner...?" They asked Heather, who grumbled a little but eventually offered to make them herself. With the temperature dropping slightly inside the cabin, she found it best to put on her shirt and skirt again, although she ignored the use of underwear due to both them and herself being somewhat moist...

"Well, I'm sure we can be of some use as well...?" Zack tried to offer, but was told they could need some more wood from the back of the house for the fire, unless there was someone else willing to fix either that or the sandwiches. There was in fact a few more things that could need to be done as well, though she didn't really feel like chasing people out of their comfortable seats...
