A succubus that looks like his crush.

The summoning circle flashed purple, and the shadows in the room were all pointing the opposite direction they should have. They grew inward, into the circle. Where they touched, it grew upward into the air like a tree. Then it took shape.

The black dripped off of it.

Or her.

Alan recognized her.

"Susanna?"

It looked like Lady Susanna de' Steckler. House Steckler was an old ally to House Dreamer and he and Susanna had known each other since childhood. When they both came of age, Alan and Susanna's fathers started discussing marriage. While Alan and Susanna knew it was coming, they both had agreed to keep their union a platonic one. Alan had yet to admit to her that he actually found her attractive.

This demon looked like Susanna. While Susanna had the make-up dressed complexion of a Lady of her station, this Susanna was white as a sheet, something that could only be accomplished by never seeing the light of day. While real Susanna had brown eyes like gourmet chocolate, this Susanna's eyes were so saturated they looked almost red. Alan had only ever seen Susanna fully-clothed in flower-like gowns and bonnets, this Susanna was completely naked.

Her body was all curves, a tuft of hair between her legs that looked almost heart-shaped, and a pair of breasts with nipples the exact shade of pink he imagined it to be.

And that was the thing. She looked exactly how he imagined Susanna looked like when she wasn't around.

When you reach your hand into the darkness, it's your own hand you grasp. That was just Occultism 101. While Occultism can hypothetically create anything from nothing, human nature dictates the existence of patterns and consistencies, and with these Occultism became a science. There are entire libraries describing in great detail the kinds of things people can, have and will summon with occultism. To create something from the Beyond is to mold it into something familiar, and it usually requires something from within.

Demons are occult beings made from one's own inner darkness, and cubi are demons of carnal lust. A lot of the younger students of Occultism wind up summoning succubi, incubi, or more androgynous concubi on their first go. It's given a lot of occultists a reputation for being perverts, not that it wasn't true to an extent. Alan's great-uncle Siegfried famously had his own harem of cubi that he kept for himself throughout his lifetime, one for every day of the week.

Alan's first demon was a succubi, and that succubi was molded from the lust he had towards his fiance.

When his family learns about this, they are going to have a field day making fun of him for it.
