The scent of dusty books filled Kelly’s nose as he closed the door behind him. Bookshelves surrounded a large messy desk with scattered papers and a few pieces of enchanted paraphernalia.
A tiny blue crystal rotated above what almost looked like a candlestick, casting dull light over the book open on the desk’s surface.
The page was covered in drawings of runes and long text describing steps in completing elaborate spells.
Was…was Kelly in the wizard’s study?
