A strange plant

Jessie led you about 300 ft. from the tree. There, in the middle of a small clearing, stood a large plant you had never seen before.

"Whoa, what is that?"

The plant stood some 30 feet high and had a large central stem that made it look like a tree, however it lacked any bark and did not seem to be made of wood. From it, multiple smaller stems reach out each capped with two particularly shaped leaves. The first was shaped like a gravy boat while the second stood above it and had the form of a curved fan. From the looks of it, it was designed to act as a sort of funnel, directing rain water into the other leaf who acted as a container. Moreover it appeared that these were positioned so that when filled with water, their weight would **** their stem to bend and the reservoirs to pour out into a larger one below it. All in all, the plant was structured like a large fountain and was made to hold as much water as possible.

"Amazing..." whispered Emilie next to you. "Impossible, but amazing. That's not a fungus, it's an actual plant!"

"Hum, yeah so?" Asked Jessie a little confused.

"The Gaia seed mutates the life forms it introduces to make them better suited to their new environment. Even then that's a process that takes a lot of time, so we can only expect lifeforms that were introduced early, like fungus, to evolve into entirely new species. For plants, there isn't enough time to allow any but small changes to their phenotype. This plant however is like nothing there is on Earth!"

"So what are you saying; it's an alien plant?" You asked.

"No, it shares way to many traits with Earth plant life for it to be a coincidence. It must have evolved from the plants sent with the seed. But how it changed so much in so little time I have no idea."

"What ever it is" interrupted Jess, "it's fucking full of water. So imma use it to take a shower."

To your astonishment (and delight if we're being truthful) Jessie began taking off her top without missing a beat. The two of you looked at each other for a moment.

"See it this way, this plant doesn't have infinite water and the more of us are underneath it when we tip those basins, the less water will be wasted. Besides, you don't have to remove your clothes or look if you're not comfortable..."

She did make a point... and maybe, just maybe, you just wanted an excuse to look but she definitively did have a point.

"Well..." You turned to Emilie. "We don't know when we'll find another plant like that..."

"I... hum... You go." Said the shy blonde. "I'll just... wait until you guys are done and use any water that's left if there is."

Not knowing what else to say, you removed your hand and turned towards where Jessie stood. She was currently facing away from you but was looking over her shoulder. When she saw you facing her way, she gave you a smile before slowly bending over and sliding her panties off.
