A strange "dream".

When you open your eyes, you only see black all around you, like the first time, when Argos, the voice, gave you the card containing your class. Like this time, you weren't able to move an inch, and you couldn't say if gravity was even a thing here.

"I'm back where it all started..." You think, not surprised in the slightest when you hear your thoughts coming from everywhere at once, confirming that you were indeed where the story began, for some reason.

What was unusual though, was something you could hear in the distance : two faint voices, seemingly chatting. Since you couldn't hear what they were saying, and really you couldn't hear that well the voices, you decide to try and go towards them. It takes some time, but you finally are able to... float towards the voices, nice work around your immobility.

When you got close enough to the voices, and despite not being able to see their respective owners, you're surprised to recognize Atsura and Argos discussing, but after thinking for a second, you start listening quietly to them, as when you think of it, this conversation can give you useful knowledge for later, seeing as the two beings seems to be very powerful. As you listen, it is clear that Argos seems to be annoyed at Atsura :

"Not only you do not report to me when coming back." Argos starts. "But you also have sex with Shirayuki before finally coming here. I should kill you for that."

"Oh, dear Lord, you wouldn't." Atsura says with a playful tone. "After all, Shirayuki can't be bred in her actual state, even by someone like me. She's too weak for her energy to maintain this kind of function over the core functions of her body, but her heat stopped two days ago and she was still pretty horny, someone needed to do something. Aren't you jealous by any chance ?"

You hear Argos sigh, before he answers :

"Don't try to make me say something false, Atsura, this isn't even the matter that concerns me. I have been told that it was him who saved you from the trap you were in, is it true ?"

"Indeed." Simply answers Atsura, before adding. "Adam did save me, and I am glad he did. Thankfully, it seems Balance hasn't noticed him yet, so my acts weren't useless for now."

"Good, if Balance noticed him, he would be in a bad spot. Anomalies like him are systematically erased by Balance, and I don't want him to die for the sake of whatever twisted desire Balance has."

"In that case, I think I should try and go back to one of the lower planes, or the middle plane, so that he keeps his focus on me and continues ignoring Adam as long as possible."

There is a moment of silence, surely as Argos thinks about what Atsura said, before he finally replies :

"Because the lower plane is Hell and the lowest plane is the Abyss, you shouldn't go there to distract Balance, you should still go to the middle plane. Eovotis is the perfect place to distract him while avoiding getting trapped once more. This time though, you will go there alone, as I don't want to risk an higher-up of the Chaos Legion along with you, their head, once more."

"No problem, dear lord, or should I say Zeromus, since you called me by my title ?"

"Whatever you want, Atsura, but my real name shouldn't come out of this place if it isn't needed."

Then, you don't hear anything more, as the conversation comes to an end, leaving you alone and confused. What was all of that ? Why is Atsura the head of something called the Chaos Legion ? And Shirayuki is an higher-up of this strange thing ? They did look strange, but you didn't even begin to suspect that...

And what to say about Argos, or Zeromus ? About Balance, that you assumed was the nickname of someone related to the god of Balance ? About you ? Why did they say you were an anomaly ? Why does this Balance guy wants all anomalies like you dead ? What's happening ? WHY is it happening ?

Slowly, you started going crazy, these thoughts resonating both in and out of your head...
