Chapter 9

Can she leave the theatre without being seen by anyone else?

A sticky situation

Wenda quickly dropped to her knees, covering her mouth as she almost gasped.

Brian glanced back, trying to see what had April so flabbergasted. "Hmm, what's the matter, April?"

"It- I could've sworn that I saw your slushy just float in the air!"

"Umm, yeah, I accidently tossed it."

"No, I mean that I saw the syrup just hanging in the air in the seat next to you." April sighed, as she continued. "I'm sorry, I was up for a new pair of glasses anyway. I guess, I just imagined things. I'm sorry, you must think I'm stupid or something."

"Of course not, honey." Said Brian, as he leaned in closer. "Nothing would make me think that. We all have our da-"

"COULD YOU TWO SHUT UP?! SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO WATCH A MOVIE!" A man shouted at the two, causing them to sit back and watch the movie again in silence.

Wenda sighed a breath of relief. But she knew she wasn't out of the woods yet. She couldn't just sit back again, lest she'd be spotted again. Seeing no other choice, she decided to crawl to the restroom to clean herself.

She carefully crawled her way to the exit, when suddenly...

**KA-PLOW**

A rather loud and sudden explosion happened in the movie, causing another moviegoer to drop his popcorn, all over the sticky Wenda.

"Seriously?" Moaned Wenda over her bad luck. As soon as she reached the stairs, she sprinted as fast as she could up towards the exit. She almost reached the door, as the movie's hero got both literally and figuratively stabbed in the back by his love interest.

"What the- did that really just happen?" Gasped Wenda. She decided to look for bit longer, realizing by the second that they were building up that twist since the first movie. She was so focused on that movie, that she didn't notice that someone entered the cinema behind her. He walked into her, dropping his chocolate covered churros all over her.

"What did I just walk into?" Asked the guy, looking for the source of the collision. Unbeknownst to him, Wenda had already darted out of the restroom.

Sophie took a sip from her coffee as she thought what to do next. "Okay, I may not know were she is now, but I might be able to figure out were she'll be." She grabbed Wenda's phone, hoping to find an agenda or something. "Passcode?" Sophie said surprised, when she realized that you can answer a phone call even if the phone isn't unlocked. "Okay, maybe there is a clue on these clothes or her wallet."

Wenda looked at the restrooms. The girls restroom looked rather crowed, meaning it would be easy to spot her in this state. The guys restroom, on the other hand, was seemingly empty.

Looking both ways, she fled into the guys restroom.

Is it as empty as it seems?
