A solution?

"Wow!" exclaimed Willow. "Isn't that overkill?"

"Of course, it's overkill," said Anya. "That was the whole point. One of our clients -- not the one who originated the curse, of course, but someone else -- wanted to keep the curse going and was willing to pay anything to keep it going. D'Hoffryn said she was pretty important so he encouraged us girls to do anything to keep it going."

"And who was this client?" asked Willow.

"Sorry, I'm not allowed to say," said Anya. "Let's just say it's an entity who really, really hates Buffy's guts."

"Well, that narrows it down," said Buffy in a sarcastic tone.

"Well, Amy, you have the power to travel through time," said Kennedy. "Why don't you go back in time and keep them from doing that?"

Amy sighed with exasperation before she answered. "Number one, it's a different world. I could cast a spell on all those justice demons and it would not do a bit of good because they're not the ones affecting Buffy. They can only affect the Buffy in their world, not the Buffy who is here with us right now. Number two, the only way I could prevent that from happening on Buffy's world would be to track down every single justice demon -- and Anya just demonstrated that that would be impossible."

"So why don't you go back to the day Buffy got cursed and prevent that from happening?" asked Kennedy.

"Because...wait a minute!" said Amy. "You might have an idea there."

"About time," said Vamp Buffy.

"You be quiet," said Amy. "I could do that. But I would need someone to go with me to guard my back in case something goes wrong."

"I'll go," said Buffy. "The quicker this curse thing gets resolved, the happier I'll be."

"You can't go," said Willow. "You'd stand out too much. Come to think of it, I can't go either. There's likely to be a Willow already there. And Anya can't go for obvious reasons..."

"Fine," said Kennedy. "I'll go."

"Jenny," said Willow, "would you like to help us out and go with Amy?"

"Normally, I wouldn't hesitate," said Jenny, "but if I'm already dead in Buffy's world, wouldn't that make me a wee bit noticeable?"

"I'll go," said Kennedy.

"How about you, Tara?" asked Willow.

"I don't know," said Tara. "I might stand out too much too."

"I'll go," said Kennedy.

"Well, I hate to ask one of the vamps for obvious reasons," said Willow. "Perhaps the Count?"

"I said I'll go," said Kennedy.

"Hey, here's a thought," said Buffy. "Why doesn't Kennedy go?"

"That's a great idea, Buffy," said Willow. "I'm surprised no one mentioned it before."

Kennedy just rolled her eyes.
