A solo adventure

For 6 years, the Scooby Doo gang have been solving mysteries and debunking myths. They had grown up together into young adults and were basically inseparable. Nowadays while they still did pick up the odd case now and then, there was more emphasis placed on their personal lives. Only when a case went unsolvable for too long or piqued their interest did they come together to do some investigating. The end results were usually the same as they had been, a jealous individual donning a monster costume to get **** or lower property values for various reasons.

In the present, it was currently winter break. The gang decided to take this break from their everyday college lives to relax and enjoy. Shaggy and Scooby were travelling to visit relatives (especially Scooby, who hadn't seen his for quite some time). Fred travelled to another state to visit a trap convention (he kept enthusiastically explaining it to Daphne, who could only roll her eyes). Velma stayed in the dorms to finish up on the assigned projects, ever the studious one.

That left Daphne, who was visiting home for the holidays.

It was another quiet and boring day at home as Daphne laid in bed and scrolled her phone for any interesting news. She stopped on an article of interest.

"A werewolf? Been there done that..." Daphne commented to herself as she opened up the page. It was usually an open and shut case, in the gang's case at least. Someone wanted to lower the property value for an easy purchase or to scare people away to keep a secret.

Though if it was that easy, Daphne reasoned, it should prove my worth as a detective on my own. Would make a great story to tell the others too.

Not missing this chance and not even considering the money, Daphne got up and left a note with an excuse for her absence to let her parents know she would be gone. She grabbed a few essentials and started to make her way down to Lupus Manor.
