A small, but significant promise

The lesson would have went smoothly if not for Kayleigh's squealing here and there. Luckily, the teacher didn't notice that, so the pair didn't face much problems. "Why didn't you turn it on?" Asked the girl, with her face let down.

"It was turned on the whole time though..." Jesse retorted, trying to defend himself, he wasn't sure how far he could go with that toy.

"But, like... You could have used it a bit more, y'know?" Kayleigh was kinda right, and Jesse knew that. He just wasn't really good at stuff at first, he needed to train most abilities, even that God-like power he had. Though it had more to do with his mindset than the ability itself.

"Okay, fine, I'll use it on the next lesson. Is that okay?" He decided to face what would come even if he didn't like it.

"More than okay, hehe." Her spirits came back to her, something everyone around could see. What no one noticed was that next lesson would be led by Kristi Haynes and it could turn out a bit less favorably than Jesse would have imagined.
