A slight alteration in the deal

“I want you to free everyone here.”

The Goddess of Shadow scoffed. “Have you already forgotten our deal? I would already release your friends and family after you gave me your powers.”

“Which is why I want you to do it _before _I give them up.” Kumiko spoke sternly, looking her adversary dead in her eyes. “Sent them home now, and _then _I give you what you want.”

“Ha, why would I do that?”

“Why wouldn’t you it? With them gone, you know they can’t interrupt your plans. I don’t have my wand, so I’m certainly no threat. It would work in your favor, wouldn’t it?”

“I err…”

“Unless you were planning to steal their powers after you took mine. But you wouldn’t do that, right?”

“No, I would not.” Her mouth was smiling, but her eyes clearly showed agitation. She know she’d had to hunt down Chimera, Guardian Devil and Selkie all over again, who would no doubt be on their guards now. But at least it be easier with Kumiko’s and the villain’s stolen powers.

“I… agree to your terms.” Waving her staff several portals showed up near Kumiko’s family and the other heroes.

“Kumiko, why would you do this?” Spoke Selkie.

“Because now you guys have a chance to take her down. Regroup when you get home and plan against Goddess of Shadow. You three have a bigger chance against her then me alone. And as Chimera said, she otherwise never would’ve let you guys go.”

Selkie nodded in confirmation and stepped into the portal with the others.

Now, Kumiko is alone with the villains without her wand or most of her clothes.
