A short walk

"I know we do," I nodded. "But Imogene just..."

"Charlotte and I will figure things out here," Helen spoke out. "You two go for a quick walk or something."

"I feel like going for a walk. I think we should head to the swimming hole, and talk. Just you and me. "

My wife rose from the table and kissed Helen full on the lips with a quick motion. It felt natural to me, like they were as familiar with each other as I was with both of them. It made me glad actually, to see that they were on the same page. She had already said that she wasn't going to leave me, so the expected feeling of jealousy dissipated far faster than I would have expected. When she did the same with Charlotte, it was even less. When she finally approached me I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but was greatly relieved when I received a nearly bone crushing hug, followed by a hungry and eager kiss. I meant to hold back, but she was having none of it, and when her tongue slipped into my mouth I could not resist reciprocating.

I felt a rush of comfort run through me as my wife's hands caressed my back and her eager tongue quested about my mouth. My little sister was right THERE, my brain screamed at me, and yet my wife was eagerly making out with me in front of everyone in the cabin. The thought crossed my mind that my wife was marking her territory. She was letting my sister know that I was hers, and that she still wanted me despite everything, despite the fights, despite the anger.

"I love you," My wife spoke softly against my lips, her hand slipping into mine. She stepped back slightly, pulling me towards the door.

"Ok, so... uhm..." I glanced at Imogene, whose face had twisted into a look of pure anger.

"You two go," Helen offered from the table. "We already talked about it. All part of the plan, Brent. "

Before I realized it, we had stepped out of the cabin, and the wet smell of fog replaced that of warmth. For a few dozen steps, neither one of us said anything, the only sound that of distant cars or occasional birds. We walked for a few feet, saying nothing. The feel of her hand in mine was nice, and she squeezed gently, her face lost in thought.

"So, we're going back to the river?" I asked as we walked.

We swung our hands back and forth for a moment, smiling softly.

"I'm a little mad at you," she responded. "So, might as well tell you why since you haven't figured it out."

"If you don't tell me I can't fix it," I agreed.

"That's what Helen said!" Kaila shook her head. "Ugh, how did I get... she's apparently my girlfriend too now, isn't she?"

"Our girlfriend, really," The scent of incense was still in my nostrils a bit, and it was a pleasant contrast to the chill damp of the air.

"Yeah, and that's a good thing because... Brent, you do realize you might have really knocked her up?" She breathed out sharply after the last.

A rush of arousal flushed through my body as Kaila spoke the words. That was it. The missing piece that I hadn't been thinking about with Helen. Every single time I had tried to remember about pulling out, or mentioning it to her, something had made me forget, and now...

"Four days, Brent. Your sperm has been in her for four days. Four days in the middle of her cycle."

That couldn't be right. Helen and I had only had sex for the last two... but even that...

"No, only two. But No problem! We can just head back to town and get a morning after..."

"Brent, they don't work well after three days, and you fucked her the first night you slept together."
