A risky dare

"Oh, come on! How did you even do that?!"

Kate Bishop laughed as she flopped down onto her bed, tossing the crystal ball from hand to hand as her friends fumed at her.

"You thought breaking into the chancellor's office and stealing the prize of his collection would be difficult? I told you, there's nothing I can't do!"

Kate reclined on her pillows and bit into a strawberry lace as her friends bent their heads together.

She wasn't worried about what they would come up with next. After all, she'd completed every dare they'd set her so far; the candy and money they'd been forced to hand over was testament to that.

"Alright, Kate," her friend giggled. "We've got one for you..."

As her friends explained their latest challenge, Kate forced herself to appear at ease with a smile on her face, even as her skin crawled and a blush moved over her cheeks...
