"Yes, let's get going," Calen agreed and allowed Shugre to set the pace.

"My name is Calen, I'm kind of glad I ran into you before anything else. As for where I'm going next? Hmmmm... I don't know, maybe you could show me around? You seem to know a lot more about this place than I do..."

Suddenly the sky turned a crimson red and Calen could hear a howl of pain or pleasure, she couldn't tell, as a full red moon appeared above them.

As Shugre started to warn her there was a loud snap from the trees and Shugre started practically dragging Calen along.

Just after another panicked warning from Shugre, Calen noticed half a dozen vines headed their way.

"Look out!" Calen cried out, but both of them had already started to react, Shugre managing to dodge and weave past the vines going after her while Calen herself used a nearby boulder to launch herself over the first vine, roll quickly under the second, then spring up and dodge the last.

Briefly looking behind her, she saw a... a talking tree?! It was coming into view and complaining about something about fun? Calen didn't like this...

"Shugre! Let's get out of here! If your place is safe we both need to get there fast!"
