A poor night for geeks: Heather and Gavin

"Dammit..." Heather repeated once more, as she failed again to simply fall asleep. She'd been turning restlessly in her bed for the better part of an hour, and tried every trick to make her body relax.

Rather than just reading however, Gavin was trying to come up with some way to continue his favorite story - the first one, in fact, that had just got Heather hooked on the site.

That was all but a way for him to just escape reality however, and the real reason for him lying awake at night was his own insecurity around real-life relations. While he could write up a pretty good emotional story, and give all the characters the most lifelike personalities, he still couldn't for his life seem to have a normal conversation with a real-life woman...

Ashley and Victoria were only a few among all the girls he'd never felt fully comfortable around, and even Chloe seemed distant and complicated at times, while otherwise she could be the only one who actually seemed to enjoy his company.

Heather at the other hand was a bit different, as she had all the experience and could pick whatever guy she wanted - and usually did -, as far as Gavin could tell.
