A night time chat with Rider

You are lying down on the bed with Rider resting next to you. Your unable to sleep and restless, even after giving Rider your Mana. She turns around and faces you. "Is something the matter, Shirou?" She asks while inching closer.

"Well, yeah. But I don't know how to put it." You say. Rider nuzzles into you gently. "You saw it, didn't you? The island." You nod in response. "Yeah. Most of It was ruins. There was a lot of warrior statues there. I saw a girl there, her hair was like snakes, her eyes glowing.." Rider responds, "That... Was me. I turned those men into stone when they tried to kill me." You look over at Rider. Rider looks at you. The moment is awkward, to say the least.

"I'm sorry." You say, placing your arms around Rider. Silence is had as you comfort her. "Now you know why I was called a monster. And why I must wear my blindfold." Rider says. She not reciprocating your embrace, but also not rejecting it. You shake your head. "That was in the past. I've learned that you can't change the past and to focus on doing what's right on the way ahead."

Rider looks up at you and smiles. She finally drapes an arm over you. "Thanks, Shirou." You nod. "We'll head out to the castle after breakfast tomorrow, we should get there just around noon." Rider replies, "Right. Be ready for anything." "Yeah, you too Rider. I wouldn't want to lose you." You say. "Me either." She responds, getting comfortable in your arms and resting an arm of her own on top of you.
