There's no way Su Mei can come along, but if you join the Soft Silks expeditions you'll have safety in numbers! It's a great way to get some money and experience at the same time, and you won't risk some random demon breeding Su Mei with some devious trick of theirs"

It sounded reasonable, and after all the scaremongering about demons and females even Mei started to have some doubts about going there herself.
Though again, there were still bandits up north to hunt... well, according to Nana those too had their fair share of traps purposefully aimed at snagging females.

"...no, even if we don't go together and she stay here... we won't have enough money for me to stay here and we don't know how long it'd take for him to come back from the expeditions"

Mei expressed her doubts and Nana smiled in response, though her smile was less about having a solution and more about said solution being part of a bigger plan "No worries! After all you're Ren's woman, which makes us practically sisters. You don't need to rent a room, you can just sleep in mine while he's out hunting!"

This was a nice offer, since it'd save on rent whenever he was out of town... now the only question was, would they take her offer up?
