The morning sun with its beam of yellow light, woke you from your slumber making you look up at the room before you. Maribel is out of the bed but the splashing water in the other side of the room within what can be call the bathroom confirm that she's still with you.

Opening the door you saw your companion clean with her hair glimmering in the fresh sunlight she eyed you with the same reaction when you first meet but this time she reacted with a soft smile.

"Good morning." You greeted each other in unison.

It seems she's getting used to your presence. Thus you take your turn cleaning. The task was finished quick as you have more pressing matter to attend to, with your body clean and dry your focus shifted to Maribel who sitting in a chair in front of the table counting the money she have left.

The coins on top of the table were no doubt Maribel's, looking at the few coins she had left made you wonder. The unavoidable truth is that even with her assistance you have a limited funds to use in this new world. Hilarious you thought of the similar situation in your previous life, how many hours did you spend on the counter of a store just to get enough money for that new game, how much time did you spend your life filing the papers and data in the office just finally attain the premium pre-order video game you waited for years only to leach they turned it into a gacha system.

Still the truth of the matter is you and Maribel have only a limited amount of funds, soon may it be the next week or worse the next day you'll be in a more poor state than before your first ****. But this time you might not die alone.

Shaking your head, no this will not happen you'll do everything in your power to make sure it doesn't. Maribel Florafall instead looks at you, even without a single word being spoken she understood what you meant, staring on the coins in that she placed and the repeated looking at her and the window.

Luckily a small breakfast was available in the inn and you eat swiftly thinking of the way you two can earn money, numerous thoughts such as adventuring filled your mind, while this new world is absolutely different from your role playing games you love to play there's a possibility that they could have aspects that could help you.

Looking at Maribel who is eating soup with a small bowl and spoon you ask your companion.

"Say Maribel is there a adventurer's guild somewhere near this town?"

The elf perked her eyes at you while her ears went down slightly, it seems she doesn't understood what you meant and answered with the closest idea she have.

"Adventurer's guild? There's no organisation like that I'm afraid... There is a mercenary guild near here they give jobs to people exchange of money, but the jobs are rather... dangerous."

Dang... You mentally thought of course this world is different from your video games but it seems there's some aspects that is similar that would prove useful... Despite the risk.

Then again there could be other ways.

"Just thinking of making some money, say do you know any other ways we can earn money, I'm grateful for the help but I want to make sure we have the funds so we don't starve or something like that."

Maribel put her hand on her chin as she think of ideas that would help in your problem.

"I know the forest near here well, when I was a kid me and my parents would sometimes go there to gather herbs and medicinal plants we can sell on the market, we could also meet a dwarf who's a close friend of my father, he needs labourers for the construction so that's a good start but sadly none pays as good as the mercenary guild but like I said the jobs there are risky and dangerous."

You absorb all the information she said, 3 ways to earn money the first two sounds easy but has a lower pay while the last is risky but could get you a huge pay. Regardless the fact of the matter is you have to pick.

Looking at Maribel she just stare at you waiting for your answer as she herself is not sure.
