A monster attacks a village

“The village Cornflower Fields is about a day of traveling from here,” Tocar explains, “but we will use a horse, so we should arrive by dusk. The villagers and the farmers around have been terrorized by a creature that attacks their farms and livestock. Survivors of the attacks described the creature as a giant wolf with a scorpion tail. I assume we have to face a chimera. Our mission is simple, we go there, find this monster, defeat it, find out where it comes from and if there is no reason to stay, we return home. I know you are a mind mage and this is probably not the kind of mission you usually go to, but I still count on your help. I need your illusions to distract and confuse the monster. Just stay a little behind me, so you don’t get caught in the fight.”

“As you wish, sir,” you reply and nod, “I will assist you from the background.”

“Great,” Tocar says proud, “then why are we still here? Let’s head out.”
