Once upon a time in a regular city, there was a regular girl named Julia. She wasn’t too comfortable in a city bigger than the little town she grew up in but, one way or the other she managed to make her life with all she had at hand. She was a kind person, who tends to relate easily with other people, letting her have a good number of friends. Life was simple but enjoyable for her and those around her, but she could never really open herself to anyone in a romantic way, which didn’t seem to be that much trouble… For a time.

The more she knew people, the more she became disappointed. When you relate that much time to someone, you tend to believe you know that person in all possible ways, until the unexpected reveals their nature. Is not like all of them were bad people or liars, but no one seems to have the courage to be themselves. Until she meets Will.

He might have been arrogant, and most of the time a jerk, but always honest with the way he expresses himself. Julia's attention was captured every time they both talked about anything, creating a bond between them which eventually became love.

She knew he felt lonely and developed a desire to be for him as she knew he was going to be there for her. Probably those were the memories she loved but also hurt her the most, because it is not easy to leave someone who hurt you by becoming someone else… No… Revealing his true nature. Every time was the same. She felt foolish to think he was different. She went away as far as she could. Never looking back.

Little did she know about her pregnancy the moment she left.

Mina left minutes ago to meet Will at the lobby. He mentioned Mina about talking with two girls who barely knew about the necklace. Mina was about to ask more about it, but suddenly Will asked her if she stole the necklace from a girl named Emily. Mina couldn’t tell from his tone if he was disappointed or something like that, so when he asked her to meet at the lobby, she just agreed to it. She preferred to talk with him about Julia in person, but first they needed to solve this problem. Will didn’t tell them what exactly happened.

As for Kim, she remained in the office because she needed a moment to process all of this. She knew the urgency of the situation, but she needed a moment alone. Mina didn’t argue and went to wait for Will, as Kim couldn’t resist it any longer and began to cry all over her desk.

For a moment she thought she could be happy, that Kim and Mina might give her a new course for her life, where she could finally be loved.

But as fast as she twisted Mina’s world into a nightmare in barely a day, it became one for her. Is this what it means to care about someone? She couldn’t answer that, all she could do was cry.

She noticeably changed because of the necklace, but she didn’t expect to do it that way. Pain wasn’t something she wanted to manage now. Carmen entering so abruptly to her office was only angering her “What is it? I have no time, make it quick.”

Carmen never stopped facing Kim’s eyes who clearly was annoyed by her presence, but didn’t move from her chair yet “I must be completely honest with you.” It was imprudent to confront Kim so quickly, when she still didn’t have everything settled, Carmen knew it. But the frustration she endured for so many years needed to be released somehow, and if she played her cards wisely it could even benefit her. What she didn’t expect was for Kim to be in an emotional state, but that wasn’t going to stop her “The truth is… I hate you, like no one else could” Her eyes reflected that hate.

“…”

“I believe you are the worst thing that could ever happen to this hotel” She took a deep breath “You are reckless, naive and completely incapable of doing your job. Most of the old personnel know how you got it on first place, but because of your influences no one will tell a shit about it” Kim was silently listening all of her accusations “You don’t even care a bit about the hotel or their people, because you are incapable of care of nothing else but yourself… Or do you think no one knows that you want to take advantage of the event to grow higher?” Kim wanted to say something, but more and more accusations became true for her own thoughts “Honestly, you thought I wouldn’t realize your… Relationship with that BRAT and that guy Will?” Kim was perplexed now, she never thought this was going to be so easily exposed. She now felt fear “Can you see now how naive are you? If the right people find out…”

A pause was made by both until Kim broke the silence “What do you want?”

“I mean every word I said, but I don’t think they deserve to suffer because of your incompetence” She closed her eyes collecting her thoughts “I will make you an offer… If you quit by your own will, I won't report you at all” Kim knew what was coming next “Then, If you named me your successor, I won’t report the fact that Mina stole that jewelry” But she didn’t expect for her know about that “Else, the crime will be known, and she will be facing a formal accusation from a hotel resident, no matter what, she won’t win” She was facing Kim the entire moment.

“… Is… There something else?”

“No, that will be all… I will give you a moment to think about it, come to my office later, or I will make sure everyone knows about you three” That being said, she walked away.

For a moment there was silence. Then Kim simply erupted in rage destroying everything inside her office, until she fell on the floor consumed by the sadness.

Yan Yan seemed to be worried about something, Emily tried to break the awkward silence she was giving to her for a while “The girls will arrive at any second.”

“Sure…”

“Ok, I don’t need to have been around you for so long to notice something is bugging you, what is it?” She looked at Emily with sadness “Hey! What makes you so sad?” Now she realizes she hasn’t been paying attention to her friend, maybe she has been like this the whole day “You know you can tell me… We are friends aft..”

Yan Yan didn’t let her finish that sentence as she thought that from that point they were, she had nothing left to lose “I’m a lesbian” Awkward silence, Emily who then just saw teary eyes on Yan Yan face didn’t know what to think, even more when her friend smiled at her “And I liked you… For a long time”

Emily was frozen where she was. They have been friends for a long time and she never notices. Or she never told her? Did she have to? “I…”

Yan Yan kept her smile “And now I found out what you think about a woman kissing another” A set of tears were forming on her eyes “The way you see them…” Quickly that smile vanished “The way you see me… Is like a freak… A disgusting one, as you said”

“Wait! That’s not… You… You are different from them… You are my fri…”

“Different how?!” She interrupted her, as she grabbed her hands.

“What are you…?” Emily stepped back and realized she was between a wall and Yan Yan.

“Here is a girl holding your hands, the same way I have done before, and now you're… Trembling” Emily was more nervous by every second “What? You think I will **** you or something? That I will come to you and **** you to kiss me? I wo...”

For one side Emily felt trapped, and for the other she imagined what Yan Yan described her and without thinking she reacted “Stay away you freak!!” She forcefully pushed her down, making Yan Yan fall to the ground “I’m sorry!! I didn’t…” She offered her hand to help her get up, but when Yan Yan tried to take it, Emily’s hand began to tremble again. Yan Yan got up on her own.

Yan Yan inhaled a bit “You can’t even touch me now you know my ‘nature’… No Emily, I’m not different from those girls from before. When we saw them so casually flirting, I imagined that I needed just to gather some willpower to confess my feelings for you at some point, even if you rejected me that would have been something better than this…” She was doing her best to not succumb to her sadness and tears “I honestly loved you… But you are more concerned about your own world, that you can’t see what’s around you… I…” She swallowed hard “I thought you were different…”

She turned back and ran away from that place. Emily didn’t have the courage or the will to do something at that moment. She just remained quiet. She didn't expect that the first time Yan Yan talked that much, It would be so painful. She didn’t notice when Trisha and Ashley arrived.

Trisha was the first to talk “There you are! We have your…”

Ashley saw she was alone “Emily? Where is Yan Yan?”

That moment Emily saw it, the necklace… Everything started because of the necklace… She didn’t answer her friends as she took the necklace. And put it around her neck as Trisha stepped aside “Woah!! Take it easy love… You know what that thing doe…?”

Emily was surprised to hear that “(But how did..) YOU USE IT!!” She asked them to not use it and yet they did… Now she was angry.

She began to run away from them, as they began to chase her. While Trisha was strong, Emily was fast so they couldn’t reach her. Especially Ashley who was barely in shape.

As Emily ran deeper into the hotel, like it was predestined to happen, she saw that girl Mina… Then she approached her “Hey little Mina! Looking for this?”

Mina was perplexed “What?! How did you get it?!” What exactly happened with Will?

“Want to know? Try to catch me!”

Mina didn’t think she had much of a choice, so she ran after her. Her clothes didn’t help her on that matter, but Emily wasn’t trying to leave her behind. It seems she was guiding her, leaving them eventually on the parking site. Emily hid, as Mina with fear began to walk around looking for her.

Trisha then entered there “Emily! Are you…?”

Mina turned to see the girl who had just arrived. “Who are you?” She began to look around the cars for Emily “Look… I’m sorry… I know it was bad to… To… Steal it… I made a mistake…”

Emily who was behind a car thought “(You have no idea…)”

Mina kept talking “It seems… I hurt you by doing that… I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to…”

“LIKE I CARE!!” She moved and hid somewhere else.

Trisha intervened “Emily! She is… Telling the truth…”

Mina was even more confused as she was slowly walking between the parked cars “(Who is this girl?) All I want is… Apologize, please… Let me try to make it up to you”

Emily silently sneaked behind her “You took something from me…” She jumped behind Mina and grabbed her arms “Then I will take something from you!”

Mina couldn’t react “NO!!!”

It was too late, before Mina could do something, Emily activated the necklace. For a moment, Emily thought about every reason why she was upset since the last day… She didn’t have that killer body she wished… But Mina has it. Emily didn’t have a handsome boyfriend… Again, Mina has one. If Mina didn’t steal the necklace, none of this would have happened, she wouldn’t have been awake the hole cursing her luck, her life. She wouldn’t have made Yan Yan to be upset with her. All of this was Mina's fault, from Emily's point of view. Now, it was time for payback.

Emily's form was sinking inside Mina’s, as her face changed to resemble more Emily’s. Mina's chest growed a bit, like the rest of her. Emily disappeared inside of her leaving only her clothes, while the necklace was over the new Emily with long dirty blond hair. “This… Is incredible…” She moved her hands around her body, admiring her chest “I can feel them… So soft…”

Trisha was horrorized “EMILY!! What have you done!?”

“I’m just making her pay for her mistakes… Serves her well.”

“Look, I know you are angry, but now you can see her memories… You can see that she wasn't lying.”

“I can see…” She indeed saw her memories, but not the ones Trisha hoped. Emily saw Mina’s first time, she saw how easily she won boys' attention. She saw how she had a good time playing with the necklace.

Inside of her a scared Mina pleaded “(That’s not all!! Please! Look de..)”

Emily was even more annoyed “SHUT UP!!... I’ve seen enough.”

The cellphone on her desk was ringing, as Carmen answered it. She just left Kim in her office.

Carmen: Hello?

Dr. Stein: Hello Carmen this is Dr. Stein.

Carmen: “Oh Doctor It’s a pleasure. Is eve..” Screams and stuff being broken “Is everything alright?”

Dr. Stein: That’s just a patient with an over dosage… Sorry to interrupt you but I need to tell you something important, I don’t have much time to use the phone.

Carmen: What is it? It has something to do with…?

Dr. Stein: “Yes… Carmen…” Deep breath “You have cancer”

Carmen: … Care to repeat that?

Dr. Stein: Cancer Carmen… Your exams were positive.

Carmen: I just felt a bit ill that time, you assure me it was probably nothing, just to run the exams for a formality!

Dr. Stein: “I know…” More screams “DON’T LET HIM RUN AWAY AGAIN!... Sorry… Look, when you have the time to call my secretary, we might…”

Carmen: “TIME!!?? I DON’T HAVE IT… No… No… NOO!!!” She turns off the call.

Everything was now ruined.

Will was thinking as he slowly walked to “(It seems not every memory passes when you are merged with someone)” He wasn’t upset with Mina at all, just wanted to hear from her if what those girls said was true.

Then he saw someone he didn’t expect at all crossing the street. She looked almost the same. The same kind face he used to adore. The same eyes that always looked at him when they talked.

When she ended crossing the street, she saw him. The same face she once loved and ended up fearing. The same eyes that she thought were innocent and showed his true nature eventually. All Julia could do was say his name “Will…”

Meanwhile Kim on her office asked to the universe…
