A little snag

Kara walked towards the exit of the park, still freezing despite the bubble coat. While she was thankful for the coat giving her cover, she did wish it provided more protection from the elements. She only hoped that nobody she knew saw her like this.

"Hey, guys! Wait up!"

Kara froze at the voice, turning redder as she recognized the voice of her crush, Leon. Looking over her shoulder, the young woman let out a squeak as she saw Leon and three other members of the football team heading down the path towards her. Fortunately, the four young men hadn't seen her yet...

But she knew that could change at any moment!

Panicking, Kara jumped behind a bench, crouching down as the four walked by. Unfortunately, the group chose this exact spot to talk with one another and, to add insult to injury, Leon sat down on the bench that Kara was hiding behind. The young woman silently gulped, nervous. She needed to make a break for it!

"Maybe if I keep my head down and just run past them, they won't be able to see or recognize me. I hope." Kara thought to herself as she eyed the park exit, almost mocking her with how close it was.

However, Kara soon had another problem...

As she moved slightly, Kara could feel a tug on her coat. Her face growing pale, she looked down to see the lower hem of the coat had gotten caught on a loose nail of the bench.

"Oh no..." She whimpered.
