A little later

It takes a while before they get up, and a while longer to clean up. After spending a few minutes in the bathroom, Ethan strips the bed. Alex helps put new sheets on, her visit to the backroom much quicker, although Ethan thinks the gleam on her lips looks brighter. After everything that happened, she must have reapplied her gloss.

Eventually, the two of them make their way back downstairs, fully clothed and refreshed. As they walk, Alex turns to Ethan. "So, um, would you mind if I asked you a favor?"

Ethan chuckles. "If you wanted something you should have asked... You know."

Alex blushes slightly. "Didn't want to ruin the mood..."

Ethan chuckles, leading Alex over to the couch. "That bad, huh? Gonna ask me to give you a massage now?"

Alex sits, giving Ethan a nervous look. "No... I was hoping you'd buy something for me..."

Ethan pauses, giving her a curious look. "What kind of something?"

Alex shrugs, giving him a weak smile. "Booze?"

Frowning, Ethan lets out a deep sigh. Alex was eighteen, and the drinking age was nineteen in this part of the country. Now that of course never stopped young people from drinking, but it did present a problem with acquisition. The twenty-one-year-old Ethan would have no such trouble, and so...

"Why?" Ethan asks to stall, already fairly sure of the reason.

"Well, me and my friends," she seems to wince slightly, "Wanna have a bit of fun at the fair, you know?"

Sighing, Ethan does know. A sixteen-year-old version of him got blackout drunk at the fair and ended up kissing the very girl sitting across from him now that very same night. Kids will always find ways to get ****. Plus she did give him a killer massage, both inside and out... But now Ethan knows he's done stalling. He needs to give her some answer.
