Chapter 11 by CaptainPulse CaptainPulse

What is their gift?

A little bit of fairy fun

Alice and Nadia were submerged in water as the Naga dragged them behind her into a small pool inside the cave. They struggled against her grip as they bounced off the cave walls and one another on their watery voyage. It was colder than the dry part of the cave, and the naked lovers were not happy to have their sensitive areas suddenly flooded with icy water. They barely had a chance to marvel at the pristine blue of the water (lit by some source they were going too fast to see) before they felt themselves being pulled upwards by the current. The Naga breached the pool and flung her charges onto the floor with a loud _SPLAT! _They lay spread eagle, face-down on the cold floor, dripping a large puddle around them, and at least glad to no longer be drowning.

"Now, where did I put them?" Came the voice of the Naga.

She started scouring the corners of the small chamber while Nadia slowly lifted her head. They were in a small, dark chamber lit by only a few candles. It was hard to tell, but there seemed to be a green, slimy substance on the walls, though whether it was plant life or something else Nadia didn't want to find out. There were a few wooden planks fastened to the walls that were likely supposed to be shelves, but nothing was on them. Evidently, their host didn't use this room for much.

"Ugh." Alice garbled out in between coughs of water. "I don't want to go on that ride again." Nadia put her arm around her lover, hoping they could stay still for just a moment.

"There it is!" The Naga held something up triumphantly before slithering back to the waterlogged couple. She lifted up their wrists and shoved some wooden bracelets onto them, looking like small wreaths made of a tree branch. "This is a rarity outside the forest; fairies will sometimes turn sticks into little rings to use for games, and just leave them when they're finished playing. I only want the best for my neighbors."

Nadia stared at the "jewelry" now adorning her hand and noticed something concerning. "Why are these rings attached to one another?"

The Naga seemed to just realize that she'd unintentionally locked the women's hands together. She blushed and said, "Oh, uh... right. That one was for... personal use. I didn't realize... ah, I'm sure it'll be fine. They should separate pretty easily."

"'Should'?" Alice asked, her speech still slurred.

"Anyway, I'll let you get on your way. I'm sure you have things to do. Oh, you can take the back door out, by the way. We're not strangers."

Before either of them could ask what she meant, Nadia and Alice were smacked by the Naga's giant tail and sent flying into another tunnel, this one with a stone slide carved into it. The Naga failed to notice their distressed yelling, instead humming to herself as she dove back into the water and fantasized about her next visit from her new friends.
