Chapter 6 by ThomasMoro ThomasMoro

What is the Scarecrow pointing at?

A lion

"Look," said the scarecrow. "It's a lion. Maybe he can help us."

"I don't know," said Dorothy. "He looks so huge. And mean."

"So does that tree," said the Scarecrow. "So shouldn't we be needing the help of someone who is also huge and mean?"

"You have a point," said Dorothy, still a bit nervous about wearing nothing over her slip while she was outdoors.

She walked up to the lion and said, "Hello. My name is Dorothy and this is my friend the Scarecrow. Can you help us deal with that ferocious apple tree over there? It appears to have eaten my dress and I would really appreciate it if you can help us get back."

How does the lion reply?
