What do you see?
A groundskeeper and Lord of the manor
Brian seems to have grown a half foot taller, noticeably broader and has taken on a more confident and at ease demeanor than you can ever remember him having. He's wearing overalls and a red flannel shirt.
Compared to Brian's transformation, which gave him a totally different demeanor in your view, Jeff's outfit just magnified what Jeff already was. If anything changed he seemed maybe a little older, like time had merely brought refinement to his boyish charisma and charm.
Jeff : "I've had to wear plenty of suits in my days but none have really fit me like this, I feel like a million bucks. How'd you two do?"
As he says that he sees you for the first time. You blush as you feel his eyes drink you in. Before he can say anything Brian chimes in.
Brian : "I feel great too actually, if this it what it actually feels like to be jacked I'm going to need to start hitting the Gym more regularly after this."
Jeff : "I've been telling you! I'm sure Keith can help you get into it."
It's Brian's turn to look you over. You feel small in their presence but far from uncomfortable you feel a warm safety, as if you can rely on them to protect you from the world.
Brian : "As far as events go I think this one is my favorite so far."
His stare was still lingering on you when he said that.
Alexis : "It does seem to beat falling into a pit..."
Your voice came out less sure than you had intended.
Brian : "I guess we should keep going if we ever want to find James and your friend."
Jeff : "I could use another drink, I have the strangest craving for scotch, never used to really care for the stuff."
As if by compulsion at those words you left the coat room and hurried down the hall to the kitchen where three drinks were waiting on a silver tray. You took the tray back to the others determined to serve them before yourself.
Jeff : "Perfect, thank you Alexis."
Brian : "Yeah, Alexis, that hits the spot"
You felt euphoria at their praise, grinning ear to ear. It wasn't until the drinks were removed you noticed the tray now held the tiles and decks.
Brian : "Your turn Jeff, and try to draw a good event like Alexis did. I swear if you get Alexis dropped into a pit..."
Jeff Chuckled good naturedly at the playful jab. The mood of the group had definitely improved and despite basically everything being different it felt just like old times. You had been so afraid you'd never feel this way again, that you might have given all this up to become Alexis. You wish you could show them even a fraction of the gratitude you felt for them, maybe later you would.
Still under the effects of Brian's scepter Jeff draws two tiles. The Garden with a reward symbol or the entrance hall again with an event symbol.
Jeff : "Looks like they can come back if we skip one"
