Chapter 9 by dikmin dikmin

Current goal:

A good selection

You wait until the peak of the lunch rush and go to a popular local sandwich shop: The Dog-Ear.

The Dog-Ear used to be next to a sizeable locally-owned book store. Time, modern habits, the internet, and then the pandemic all took their toll--the book store went out of business in 2020.

The Dog-Ear didn't. Instead, its delivery business boomed and it was able to expand. It turned the bottom floor of the book store into a dining area with long tables in the middle and cozy reading/studying nooks around the perimeter, made the second floor into a lightly-stocked shop for comics and stationery, and became the pride of the campus area.

Extroverts loved the open spaces and the convenience, introverts loved the cozy areas and the nerdy extras upstairs. It was busy and at lunch there were long lines.

It was the perfect hunting ground for you.
