A girl

You hear a girl on the other end of the phone say "Hello".

"This is Pizza Sound, I think you called this number yesterday, yeah?" Tiffany asks.

A pause. At first, you think the girl will deny ever calling but then she says that she did, and asks why Tiffany is calling her back.

"Well," and here Tiffany hesitates. Alex jumps up and asks to take the call.

"Hey, this is Alex," he starts off, "My friend received a call from this number this morning, too. We came here to look into it, but Tiffany--the girl you were just speaking with--says she never called him."

"Okay," the girl on the other end says.

"Ever since that call," Alex continues, "Something strange has happened to my friend. He changed."

Another pause. Longer than the first. Faintly, you can hear the girl talking to someone else, but you're not sure what they are saying.

"Changed how?" The girl asks, finally.

"Maybe this would be better-discussed in person. Is there someplace we can meet up?"

Now there is zero hesitation. The girl gives Alex an address. When Alex hangs up, he's looking at you with a toothy grin.

"We'll get to the bottom of this, John," he says, "Let's head out."

"I'm coming with you," Tiffany says, "I need to see how this shit ends."

"I don't think we should drag you into our mess," Alex says. "This doesn't really concern you."

"Bullshit it doesn't concern me. You wouldn't even have gotten that girl's address if not for me."

"This could be dangerous," Alex sighs and turns to you, "What do you think John?"
