A friendly face

"Hey, is everything alright?" A concerned voice called out. Lilly looked up to see a tall guy, about her age, with long hair, sporting a pair of flared jeans and a band t-shirt, looking down at her. He was leaning with one hand against the tree but as soon as he had her attention, he sat down at the foot of the tree next to Lilly. He presented a singular flower to her which calmed the young woman down a little, or at least enough to share her problem with the kind stranger.

Lilly knew that the truth would just be laughed at so she had to think on her feet. "I've run away from home" she said in between tears. "Is that so?" asked the stranger. "You got any money? a place to stay?" Lily shook her head in response. "Well you can't stay here forever" he stated. "Why don't you stay at my place" he suggested. "My girlfriend wouldn't mind, besides, we always have people hanging about at our place". "Thank you" Lilly said as he took her by the hand.
