Chapter 7 by elmer7780 elmer7780

What's Anna's story?

A former housewife from the Middle Ages.

"Oh, interesting~" Anna begins as she leans against the kitchen table, breasts spilling carelessly out of her robes I gave her. "I had nearly forgotten, but yes, I've heard of a Helsing before. My predecessor who turned me into a vampire died to one."

I swallow, trying hard not to be distracted by her huge chest. "So, before that, you were...?"

Anna smiles bitterly towards the center of the table. "I've lived for so long that my human life blurs in comparison, but I remember being a standard mother living on a farm in the Middle Ages. There's not much else to it except coming back to my home one night and witnessing my family all dried up. Of course, the intruder fancied me enough to turn me into one of them."

"I'm...sorry."

"As sad as it is, her experience is rather common," my Helsing ancestor intrudes with her image floating in the air. "I've seen more sadistic vampires turning a family member, then watch their creation consume the rest of their family in a mad bloodlust as entertainment."

My troubled lips thin to the Helsing's words, but I otherwise keep my attention on Anna seeing how she can't hear or see the ghostly advisor.

"Don't be," Anna responds to my sympathy after some pause. "It happened so long ago, it doesn't feel real. Worse, I can't even remember any of my family's faces."

She takes a sip of the coffee I prepared for her, then stares longingly into its dark waters before continuing, "Now, the vampire life I led has turned into the dream...or nightmare, depending on your perspective. With your bite, I suddenly have a heart, a hunger for actual food, and my mind is clearer than it's been in years."

Closing her eyes, she snorts. "But I understand I'm not entirely free. This beat of mine is simply borrowed, isn't it?"

"So she's noticed."

'Wait, can you explain?' I think towards the ghostly Helsing.

"Basically, her heart is synced to yours; if you die, she will die as well."

While shocked, Anna takes my unintended silence as confirmation. "Well, I don't mind. It makes sense why I feel so...connected to you, despite having met on ugly terms. Again, sorry for that."

"No, I uh..." I stammer before recollecting myself. "I get where you're coming from now. It's not like you led that life with much choice."

Anna stifles a dry laugh. "There's always a choice, darling. In the end, instead of allowing myself to burn in a sea of flames, I followed my changed instincts to keep on living while staying in the dark; that's all there is to it."

I don't disagree but twist my lip to such a difficult choice. "But if I were in the position of being turned, I don't know if I could kill myself after either."

The former vampire amusingly raises a brow. "Darling, may I remind that you're being oddly empathetic to someone who tried to kill you?"

"I know," I scoff, holding a hand to my forehead. "It's not to downplay your actions or anything, but this is just what I feel."

"Are you sure you're not smitten by her appearance?"

I'll admit that helps.

"Then, can I take that as your forgiveness?" Anna asks, smiling weakly.

"I guess," I answer before coughing. "But I'm merely a drop in a bucket compared to all those you killed. So, that being said, I don't know if I can trust you."

Anna gasps, lifting her head more brightly. "That's very normal, darling. Just give me the chance to earn it by helping you on your journey to hunt!"

I widen my eyes and immediately sweats. "H-hold on, I didn't say anything about being a hunter! Besides, are you willing to betray your own former kind?"

At such thought, Anna can't help giggle. "Oh darling, there are no good friends between vampires. They betray each other all the time!"

"Heh. While I can't deny there hasn't been some fair share of betrayals within the Helsing family, it really does pale in comparison to those human-farming monsters."

"Shit, this is all so insane," I mutter into my hands before returning attention to my guest. "Look Anna, to be honest, I just...I can't go along with this sort of thing. Everything is moving so fast!"

"Oh! If you're worried about your body, I'd be more than happy to help you get in shape," Anna offers sweetly.

My ancestor crosses her arms again and nods. "That's definitely the number one priority. There's not much to our blood and strength if it can't flow properly."

"Stop it, I'm not going to be a vampire hunter!" I state more firmly while dropping my hands on the table. "Just a day ago, I lost my virginity while fearing for my life. Now, I'm being faced with a life of some fucking protagonist? Like, come on!"

"Wuss."

I ignore my ancestor as Anna smiles with guilt. Pushing past that, she grabs my hand and seemingly melts my frustrations in an instant.

"Darling, that's okay too. Perhaps our days can be exciting in other ways, hmm?"

With her breasts fully dangling out from her robes, I stare at her with a gulp. Naturally, it can't be my fault that my cock hardens to the warmth in her eyes.

Can I really trust her?

"Holy fuck, you're actually smitten! While I have no sway over what you want to do with your life, you're bound to meet another vampire soon. Will you even be able to protect yourself as you are? At least start losing some weight!"

My ancestor is right. Anna is still strong, so I'll have to start shaping up if I hope to match her.

"Wrong reasons, but okay. God damn it."

Let's get in shape! How do we do?
