A flawless first round.

Ba-da-da-daaa! The jingle flared up. Phuong folded her hands and concentrated
on her breathing. The last question had been a trick question, but she had manoevered through it. Still, she had to be careful and alert.

"Incredible!" Frank boomed. "That was a quick, flawless round, Phuong. You managed to get absolutely every question right. No transformations for you! Good start. You intend to continue like that?"

"I do," Phuong replied, allowing herself a subtle smile.

"Looking forward to that, young lady," Frank said and gave her a smile that looked wolfish. Careful, Phuong, she thought to herself. He's just as dangerous when he's complimenting you as when he tries to unsettle you with his bawdy jokes.

"Any transformations you are especially afraid about, Phoung?"

"As if I'm telling you..." she replied. "Oh, don't worry. We are playing fair here. None of your answers will have any impact on the random generator. Trust me!" Another wolfish grin.

"Lips," Phong answered.

"Inflated lips are what you are most afraid about? Haha! You're not serious! They would look gorgeous on you!"

"They'd make me look stupid. I don't like looking stupid." Of course, that was not the whole answer to his question. She basically was afraid of every single transformation that would push her closer to any of those Asian stereotypes.

"Well, I guess you are not afraid of being shortened, as you are short already, right? Haha!"

Phuong managed a sardonic smile.

"But honestly, young lady... Not afraid of Mental Drain? The most feared of all? Or any other of those mental transformations."

"I am confident that I can manage through your questions even when I am not as intelligent as I am at the moment. Because I am that intelligent", Phuong said. Which was a lie, of course. She most certainly was afraid of her intelligence being lowered. Who wouldn't? Indeed, there were very few transformation options tonight that she could probably stomach without much trouble. Probably changing her hair colour permanently. People coloured their hair all the time nowadays, right? And she was in the tech industry where most simply didn't care and there were a lot of geeks and goths active in the community.
