Who goes for the ring?
A figure charges in from the passageway to steal it for themselves
How could he have been so stupid, John cursed, watching the figure dash past him to the top of the stairs. Of course, someone would follow the two of them given how quickly they had hurried off after a visit from the Goddess. As he tumbles down the hard stone steps, he once again lament his diminished stature and frail form. The painful jolts come to an end as he comes to rest on the floor. Damiana hurries over to help him up cradling his head against her bosom and whispering sweet words of comfort. There is little to be done as John watches the figure reach the top of the stairs.
