A fight between family

Captain Gao pushes you aside as The Royal Guards under his command rush into the manor pinning your cousin Feng to the ground before he could reach his sister Mei with a dagger he had hidden in his sleeve. Gao runs over and throws his arms around Mei to prevent her from stabbing the restrained brother leaving you to notice a third person was attempting to escape through a window.

You rush him, taking him to the ground and overpowering him, you look for something to tie him up but just as you take your eyes off him you feel a dagger pierce under your left armpit in a weak spot in your basic leather armor you wore to catch the assassins "For The Reach..." the man's voice sounds of **** as he attempts to push the dagger farther into you aiming for your heart.

A low growl exits your lips and lucky for you a dagger being thrown by Mei right into his arm causing him to lose his grip on the dagger piercing your flesh.

"Shit Kaito!" Mei says as she rushes toward you "No I won't let you die after stopping my fucking dumb ass brother!" You hear Mei's voice as you fall to the ground nearly blacking out. You lay on the ground attempting to meditate to slow your heartbeat to lessen the loss of blood. Hearing another commotion from the guards you assume they rushed to your assailant's side restraining him from another attack.

Delicate hands begin touching your wound and placing a type of salve around the dagger while she holds it in place making sure it doesn't move around doing farther damage. "All will be alright..." Mei's voice sang softly.

"Fuck! No, no no!" Feng grumbles to himself "It wasn't supposed to be like this, you were supposed to die a month ago then that bastard Shade would release my love from his brothel. Why is my happiness going to hell because of you cousin? You don't even deserve to lead!!" he screams at you "After your father dies and you were gone I would rule, yes, ME!" he's fighting back against the Royal Guards, trying to break free from their grasp "I'd finish off my father and that old bastard Gao, but noooo, uncle Saito still lives as Sage and you are the hero of the last war earning you the right to lead." It was hard to comprehend everything he was saying as your vision began to blur "It was supposed to be my time to fight off the invaders! My time to lead The Wilds as the Emperor of the East! My time to unite the world under my rule with the love of my life, Lady Eliza at my side just as Shade told me I would!" Feng rambles on before you hear a loud cracking noise. Shortly after you pass out due to blood loss or quite possibly whatever medicine Mei likely injected you with to prevent infection and slow the blood flow.

You wake up as your transported through the Streets of Sages Sanctuary. You crack a smile as you see the ever charming and hostile Mei at your side chasing away the gawkers who look at you leaving a trail of blood in the street "Get back you bastards! Nothing to see here! The Prince will live now back to work or whatever you fuckers were doing!" Mei screams at the worried onlookers causing you to let loose a muffled laugh earning a surprised gasp from everyone around "You were never a diplomat Mei." your body coughs as you groan in pain "They're just worried, but I'll be alright, just focus on keeping me alive you crybaby" you say as you cough again, this time a few speckles of blood exit your body getting the attention of your hotheaded cousin.

"Oh shut up!" she retorts back at you as "Stop talking, save your strength!"

With a half hearted grin you close your eyes again, fading off into the darkness once more.
