A few days pass before he has another visit

A few days later his mother is once again sitting in the chair beside Aurthur's bed. Abigail doesn't appear to be with her as he doesn't see her in the room. After his looking around a little frantically, he hears his mother say, "Calm yourself Aurthur. Everything will be explained if you can remain calm. I know your confused and scared about what happened and what's going on, but you must remain calm, so you don't get any worse. You may be stabilized, but you're still in the ICU for a reason young man."

Aurthur took a few minutes to breath in an attempt to calm himself down, "just please explain to me what's happened to Aryca. I got the basic idea from the doctors even if it sounds impossible. They somehow transplanted her consciousness into another body. I want to see and talk to her. Mom, I proposed to her the night of the accident, and she said yes," Aurthur told his mother as tears flowed freely from his eyes. "I thought I lost her forever when I saw the impact coming, and the nightmares I've been having are just making it worse."

"Okay Authur, you've seen the young woman who's been coming in here with me. You met her and her daughter the Friday before the accident. Abigail, her daughter and a few friends of their family were also at the park that night. One of her friends was a young lady named Jaqueline Kojima, or Jax. Abigail was visiting home on a college break during her law school's first year, and Jax was being hosted as an exchange student with Abigail's sister. Jax family flew in to drop her off with the family and take a vacation in the states. Jax's family, her parents, brother and sister were all killed in a car wreck while on vacation, leaning her alone in the world. Her parents were both only children whose parents had passed away young, so Abigail asked her mother to adopt Jax. When that didn't work, Abigail applied to the courts here and in Japan to adopt Jax herself. The adoption was approved by the Japanese government and the state department recommended our courts approve the adoption. So, Jax was like a daughter and little sister to Abigail. Since the transplant needs to be kept secret in order for anyone involved to live a normal life, Aryca has to live as Jax, take over her identity and life. Abigail has been helping her even through the pain of losing someone who was a daughter and little sister to her. Abigail wanted me to tell you this before she met you, or you saw Aryca. She wanted you aware of everything that has happened to all of them, Jax, Abigail and Aryca. Now, Abigail is here in the hospital and wants to properly meet you and talk to you before Jax comes to see you. Jax is something special to her and there is more for you to know about Jax that Abigail will explain." His mother got up, "I'm going to go and let Abigail know that you are awake and seemingly calm enough to speak with her." She left the room to get Abigail.
