A failure to plan is a plan to fail.

As you think and review over the information you’d just absorbed you come to the conclusion that traps and ambushes would make the best use of the skills you’d been given this time around. With your stealth and survival skills surely you’d be able to get the jump on other monsters or maybe even an unsuspecting adventurer. With this in mind you rise and pad to the entrance of the cave. Time to get the lay of the land and see what you had to work with. After a bit of scouting you were sure you could come up with some ideas on how best to begin your rise to power.

You enter the forest outside of the cave and begin your explorations. You prioritize remaining hidden to quick movement. You never know when you could come upon an adventurer farming the low level mobs here for materials or easy levels and at the moment you knew that encountering one would lead to an early demise. As you traveled you kept an eye open for any areas that provided enough cover to set an ambush and any areas that would support the small variety of traps you currently knew how to set.

The safest thing to begin with would be to begin trapping the critters and other low level monsters here to grind some levels. Once you were stronger you could then watch for lower level adventurers. Eventually you’d be strong enough to find your old pack and take vengeance for their abuses in the previous cycle. You know this is the safest route to take, however they do say that fortune favors the bold…

In your travels during the day you had found paths that had seen recent traffic. Booted footprints pressed into the loamy forest earth and the faint scent of human told you that adventurers had come through not long ago. It would be possible to stalk them and perhaps find an opportune moment to strike for some easy EXP.
