Chapter 44 by Zerone Zerone

What's next?

A duel with Owen

I woke up on Friday morning feeling energized. My cock was in a wet warm heaven. The covers were moving up and down. I lifted them and was met by emerald green eyes looking back at me smiling. Rina was gently sucking and jerking the base of my cock with her hand. It took me ten minutes to unload into her mouth. She swallowed it all and crawled up to my side.

“Good morning, Zen,” she says smiling with adoration.

I kiss her on the lips. “Good morning, beautiful.”

She giggles and hugs my arm. “What are your plans for today?”

“Swords practice with Owen after breakfast. At noon, I have ice magic practice with Emerik and Arti. In the afternoon, I have lessons in economics with Dietrich. Arti will also be there. After that, dark magic practice with Mom. I reached an expert level in teleportation magic recently. My illusion and gravity magic are also on an expert level. I will need to discuss with Mom what I want to do next. I can either get telekinesis to the expert or start learning some other type. I still have a choice between taming, shadow, and mind-control magic,” I say.

“Isn’t mind-control magic forbidden?” Rina asks with concern.

“It is,” I reply. “But it doesn’t mean there won’t be someone who will use it against me in the future. Better to learn it and be prepared. Who knows, I might not even be able to use it anyway. I couldn’t use the future sight magic, so it doesn’t seem like I am able to use all dark types of magic.”

“I bet you will,” Rina smiles and puts a hand on my cheek. “You are just that amazing.”

I chuckle. “Not like I did anything to be able to use all these magic types. It was more luck than anything else.”

“Luck is a power in itself as well,” Rina says and kisses me.

We kiss for a little and pull away. “By the way, tonight I will have Larisa.”

Rina’s smile widens. “Yesss, finally. I want her to experience what I did so much.”

I kiss her on the nose and get up from the bed. “I promise not to disappoint.”

“I know you won’t,” she smiles and starts getting dressed herself.

After breakfast, I head to the training hall. Owen is already there in his training gear and a set of dulled training swords. As I approach, he throws me one of them. Our practice primarily consists of mock battles now.

With a nod of acknowledgment, Owen signals the beginning of the mock battle. With a swift movement, I lunge forward, my blade slicing through the air with precision. Owen meets my attack with his own sword moving effortlessly to deflect the blow. Our swords clash with each other creating a loud metal clang. I push forward with a knee attack on his abdomen. Owen moves away last second. With a subtle shift in his stance, he counters, forcing me to step back to avoid his sword. I feel sweat rolling down my face. The mock battle continues, Owen and I exchange blows, dodging and parrying each other attacks. After ten minutes of intense fighting, both of us started to feel the strain.

I need to create an opening fast before I exhaust my stamina. I launch a series of rapid strikes, my movements swift and relentless. Owen matches with intensity as he defends against my attacks. I sense a split-second hesitation in Owen’s stance. Seizing the opportunity, I press forward. My sword meets Owen's in a clash of steel. For a brief moment, our swords are locked in a fierce struggle. Then, with a twist, I disarm Owen, sending his sword spinning to the ground. Triumphantly, I exhale with relief and victory.

“Congratulations on the victory, Prince Zenovia. Your mastery of a sword is truly great. I know few people who can match it,” he says, smiling proudly.

“You hesitated there for a second. What happened?” I ask.

“At that moment, my instinct was torn between two possibilities. Rarely do I feel conflicted about my opponent's next move. It is a sign of great skill,” he replies.

We keep training for a little while after that. After the training session, I go to the ice magic practice.

Arti is already there with Emerik. I started seeing Emerik a little differently ever since finding out that he was our father’s lover. Arti was practicing creating an ice shield. Ice magic defensive spells are considered the top three among all other elements. They are fast to materialize but are more brittle than earth magic defensive spells. Earth magic defences are stronger but slower. The top spot belongs to sand magic which has fast and durable defensive spells.

I join the training practice. I focus on channeling the mana inside me and in the air to freeze the air and create a thick wall of ice in front of me. A moment later, my spell starts to materialize. A wall of ice appears in front of me. Even though it is not as thick as I intended it to be, it is enough to stop a high adept-level spell.

“Very good, Prince Zenovia,” Emerik acknowledges with a nod.

Arti smiles proudly at me. The training session goes on and ends after an hour.
