A drink to begin with

"How about a drink to begin with?" Sila says.

"Sure. Anyone can buy me a drink."

Sila shrugs. "Okay then.

"Very kind of you."

We head over to the bar, which tonight is tended by Vicki Kim. The diminutive Vietnamese woman smiles at me and says "Hey Roxy. How's it going?"

"Good, but two White Claws would make it better."

"Coming right up."

Vicki grabs both drinks, and Sila pays, learning just how much extra most venues charge. With the drinks in hand, we walk off to the side, where I say "So what did you think about that Will guy?"

"What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean."

Her cheeks turn red. "Well, yeah nice enough I guess."

"I think the feeling is mutual, Sexy."

A slight chuckle stammers out of her mouth. I then gulp down more of my drink, right as Sila jests "Maybe he wants a threesome?"

I almost **** on my drink upon hearing her suggestion. Sila gets a laugh out of me coughing, and I sure as hell can feel everyone's eyes on me. I give a thumbs up to any gawkers, before saying "Would you like that?"

"Well maybe." Her tone shrivels to meekness once more.

"What do you mean maybe?"

"I was just joking Roxy."

"Coulda fooled me."

That's when the guitarist for the first band starts doing a soundcheck. Sila glances at him, before downing more of her drink. Meanwhile, I'm still wondering if she was actually joking. Her story certainly had 'orgy' written all over it, and the fact she was moaning my name earlier doesn't help me deviate from my devious line of thinking. The only thing that breaks my pondering is the girl of the hour, who says "Are there any toilets here?"

"Yeah. Come with me."

I take Sila to the graffiti and sticker covered door that leads to the bathrooms. By the time she's done her business, we find the first band heading onto the stage, ready to play to a meager crowd.
