A damp cave, and you can hear voices

Your unnatural vision aided your ability to see, despite the darkness around you. Slick stone, with bits of moss and rivulets of water here and there on the walls and floor. Overall, it's a cave bore smooth by millenia of running water. The soft, indistinct sound of voices draws your attention next.

Though quiet, you can clearly hear two voices somewhere nearby in the cave. Shuffling into the shadows, and using your natural gray color to your advantage, you hug tightly to the walls as you hear the voices grow louder.

The faint glow of a torch on the rocks gives them away before you can actually see them. Shortly after, a pair of humans turn the corner - a man and a woman. Both appear lightly equipped, and seem more like explorers than knights or adventurers. Their voices come clearly to you now, as you hide against the wall.

Your handy HUD outlines some helpful information above their heads for you. It also lists some weaknesses thanks to your lore of humans as a ranger.

You can't help but inwardly... Snort? You suppose that what you did is the equivalent of what a bioferric monstrosity can achieve without a windpipe or mouth. The male is clearly the easier first victim to then allow you to focus on the female.

As a monster, you were granted a Tier II class of Ranger thankfully. Just barely outclassing these 2 with a Bioferric level 1, and Ranger level 5.

They don't seem to notice you as they discuss some 'secret treasure' or whatever further in the cave. Not that such treasure matters to you, you have more important directives. It takes only a moment longer before they have walked past you and present their backs to you.

Without any hesitation, you leap from the shadows, landing directly behind them with a sort of 'plop' onto the hard rock floor.

They've barely recoiled in surprise, and don't even have time to turn around before you've lashed out against the man. Your metallic appendages striking 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and then 6 times! Thanks to your time fruit juice, and multiple appendages you strike with insane speed and ferocity for such a diminutive form. The name tag hovering over the man quickly fades, replaced with a temporary banner stating "Experience increase!" Followed quickly by "Level Up! Ranger 5 -> 6, Bioferric 1 -> 2" though you'd have to look at that closer after the fight.

The female is starting to recover from her surprise and shock,and enters a battle ready stance. She holds a small dagger in front of her, with an oddly determined look in her amber colored eyes.

"What the hell are you?? And what did you just do to my brother?!" She cries in frustration, slowly circling you. [It appears that recovering and speaking was her whole turn, and it's back to you!]

With a feint to one side, she raises her dagger to follow your attack, you quickly surge your appendages through your body in the other direction and strike her exposed side with a quick, vicious 3-hit combo. Wham, smack, slap!

With your remaining actions, you quickly wrestle the dagger from her frail hands as her body effectively gives out under the sudden onslaught of metallic pseudopods.

For the first time, her face betrays a healthy portion of fear in her eyes and her slightly agape mouth.

Now, let's take a closer look at our prey.

You inch closer to her, all 3 appendages still at the ready. You examine her from head to toe closely.

She has dark brown hair, pulled back in a ponytail that is currently splayed out on the rock underneath her. Her amber eyes seem fearful, though steady. Her mouth hangs slightly open as she awaits your next actions. She wears a simple cloth shirt that covers her moderate bust, with a brown bolero over her shoulders. Her long, slender legs are clothed in brown leather pants and calf high leather boots.
