A convent

Wyatt opened his eyes and looked around. This was not the penthouse apartment that he was expecting to return to. Instead, he was in a chilly stone walled dwelling with humble furnishings. There were small stained glass windows on one wall and wooden single beds with a pillow and blanket neatly lined up along it. Wyatt thought it might be a dorm room. He wondered if he had been transported into a ladies dorm. He poked his head out the door. The hallway was empty.

He looked at himself. He couldn’t exactly strut around in the nude like this. He decided to dig around for some clothing he could borrow. He was going to be stuck here for 24 hours, so he didn’t want to alienate himself with the locals right off the bat.

Next to each bed was a trunk. He dug around inside the closest one and found linens and clothing. When he pulled them out, he realized that he was holding a habit, the traditional outfit for a nun! This was the last place he wanted to get caught!

“EEEEK! Pervert! Thief!!!” cried out a woman’s voice.

Wyatt jumped back and saw a nun standing by the door. She was pointing in horror at him and looked away when he turned around to reveal his sinful sausage.

“HEEELP!” she cried out desperately. “Mother of mercy, someone save me!”

Wyatt was just as panicked as the nun. He didn’t want to wait around to see what would happen when the others came to investigate. He pushed past the lady and ran down the halls, finding a flight of stairs that led downwards. He was hoping that it would lead outside at least and he could maybe slip them from there.

“AAAAH!!!”

“My Lord!”

“Shame!!!”

Wyatt had run into an entire crowd of ladies of the faith. They were aghast at his deviancy. Fortunately, that meant they were too shocked or disgusted to try and stop him. He dashed down the lobby, looking for the exit. More of the women came out to look and these women were more proactive. They barred the doors and blocked off his escape routes. He was trapped!

Surrounded, Wyatt was in the spotlight and all the nuns looked at him in judgment. He heard them talking amongst themselves about how vile he was and how he must be a messenger from Satan.

“Look, I just ended up in the wrong place…” Wyatt tried to explain to them.

“Probably as punishment for your sins!” One of the nuns accused. Wyatt couldn’t really argue against that.

“If you’ll just let me leave, I’ll never bother you again!” he reasoned.

“You’ll stay where you are!” the nun replied. “Until Sister Magdalene decides your fate!”

Sister Magdalene was a tall, authoritative figure that drew everyone’s attention when she arrived. She looked at the young man sternly with her piercing hazel eyes. He stood there, impotently, awaiting his judgment.

“Come with me, boy,” she ordered, turning around and marching off.

The other nuns gave way and let him follow. They headed for the basement, which didn’t put Wyatt at ease. It was much colder underground and he started to shiver. The mother superior continued on at a steady pace, forcing Wyatt to move quickly to keep up. At least it was keeping him warm to work his muscles.

Finally they reached a secluded corner of what seemed to be an underground dungeon. There weren’t any shackles hanging off the walls, but they wouldn't be out of place here. Sister Magdalene turned and faced Wyatt. She looked at him with a blank face, showing neither sympathy nor malice. She asked him, “What are you doing here?”

Wyatt thought for a moment. He could try and explain himself about the Auction House transporting him all the way over here as payment for his bid, but the story sounded so fantastical that she would either think he was messing with her or mad. His other option would be to come up with a reason why he was nosing around the nunnery with no clothes on. He wasn’t sure he could find a believable one.
