A city in the Underdark

A large underground city comes into view.

It is built out of dimly glowing, blue stone, filling almost the entire cavern with an eerily, haunting light.

Spiraling towers twist their way up from the city, looking like thorns, or pikes maybe, ready to have your head mounted on top.

You shudder.

There's a hill in the middle of the city, with a long and wide stairway leading up to a gigantic temple on top. And you know, of course, who this temple is dedicated to.

Lolth, the Queen of Spiders.

Your studies included the evil foes of Sune and the other good gods, but Lolth of all things... you had to put the book down after the first page alone.

Lolth rules the drow supreme, and with merciless cruelty. You'd never even wanted to imagine, into what kind of people a demon like this would shape an entire race.

And now you're heading into their city.
