A bit strange

Kawakami woke and immediately glared at Ren

"Hmph. Ren, we need to talk. You haven't been doing well on your homework" she huffed. Which was strange, because he usually did extremely well in class. Hell, Kawakami knew that. He figured he'd push back.

"I'm a straight A student Makoto" he answered cooly.

"Not good enough! You need to be more than a straight A student. If you aren't, you won't be able to live up to your fullest potential."

This was weird. It was clearly how Kawakami viewed Makoto - a stuck up perfectionist. And while that was less true these days, he could understand the view. But there was no sexiness. Maybe it was a case that Kawakami didn't think Makoto COULD be sexy? Or at least that her view of Makoto couldn't. But Ren decided to push back. Especially considering that if this was Kawakami's view of Makoto... she probably thought she was easy to push around too.

"Makoto. That's enough."

Kawakami's face went red, her eyes darting to the floor.

"Eep! I-I mean... Ren! P-please don't shout at me! I'm just trying to help you and--"

"I don't need your help. I'm doing fine on my own. I don't need your nagging."

Kawakami immediately bowed her head low.

"I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't realize I was upsetting you! Please just... tell me how I can make it up to you! A-anything you want!" she squealed.

Yeah. This was a VERY distorted view of Makoto, but he can't argue that it probably would have been closer to how Makoto acted when she was in Kawakami's class. A stuck up, snobby, straight A student who would cower the moment you pushed back against her. That's how she was when the first met.

Either way, Ren looked down at the bowing woman before him.
