A bit later

About thirty minutes later, the door opens again.

Looking over, Ethan sees Charlie walking in.

She's changed out of her work clothes, wearing a loose T-shirt and jeans now, and her hair seems different. Ethan guesses, correctly, she must have just had a shower. Looking around, Charlie spots Ethan quickly, but also sees Ashley and Sam sitting not that far away. She looks between the two of them and Ethan a few times then shrugs before walking over to Ethan.

Sam and Ashley see her as well, watching her with curious expressions.

"Heya, City-boy," she sits across from Ethan, "Waiting long?"

"No," Ethan lies, "Not too long."

"How come you're not sitting with them?" she nods towards Ashley and Sam.

"Oh, well..." Ethan shrugs, "We're not really tight..."

"Hm," Charlie nods, her eyes going wide for a second, "Gotcha. Well, I should go over and say 'hi', but..." she sighs, "Before we talk. I'll be right back."

Ethan watches her walk over to Sam and Ashley, but tries not to stare. The three women talk for a few minutes, about what Ethan can't say for sure, but his bones tell him he's the topic. Before anxiety starts to shake him, Charlie returns, talking her seat.

"Alright," she sighs, "Where were we?"
