"...what form of teleport spell did you have used on the Coronanite?" Sena continued.

"A Random Teleport Spell," Kazuma answered that one easily. "Our only alternatives were to have Wiz send it somewhere else populated with the regular Teleport spell, or just let it go off at Axel Town. I chose to gamble at that point, trusting my high Luck stat... Which chose to let me down, unfortunately."

"I... I see," Sena replied. "So it wasn't a deliberate attack on the local lord?"

"How could it have been? It's called "Random" Teleport," Kazuma deadpanned. "And before you ask, NO, I was not planning on using my Luck to try and get around that."

"...and were you aware at the time that using a Random Teleport spell on a dangerous item is illegal?" Sena asked.

"This is the first I'm hearing of that law, though I probably should have figured it was illegal, given how much sense that law actually makes," Kazuma admitted. "I kind of panicked in the situation, and we were short on options. In all honesty, I was desperate, and hoping for the best."

"...It seems I was mistaken to bring you in," Sena sighed. "It's only because I have heard so many horrible things about you. I apologize."

Kazuma was tempted to go in on her and boast, but a hard stare from Ria shut that down right fast. So he settled for asking, "If I may ask... What rumors?"

"Well, they say that you stripped your underage party member of her underwear once in public, that you use your crusader as bait for monsters, and that you tried to abandon your Arch Priest in a dungeon, just to name a few," Sena replied, blushing a bit in embarrassment over having believed all that.

"..."

"...they ARE just rumors, right?" she asked, seeing the flustered look on Kazuma's face. She had to admit to herself, it looked kind of cute.

Knowing he couldn't lie, Kazuma replied, "Well... Not entirely baseless ones... But the rumors leave out a lot of context out. For starters, Megumin is not underage, she's just a shorty with very little T and A," he said. "Plus, they had my money at the time, and I tried to use Steal to get it back, but because of the randomized nature of the skill, I ended up with Megumin's underwear instead. As for using Darkness as bait... She's an extreme masochist that makes me look like a total prude in comparison, and actively wants to be made into bait... And Aqua... Yeah, that was more of a cruel joke on my part than anything else, I knew she'd be fine and wouldn't ditch her for real... We have a... Complicated relationship..."

"I see," Sena sweat dropped heavily. "Well, it's not for me to judge, though I do have to ask you one more question for the record... Do you have any connections with the Devil King or his generals?"

Kazuma impulsively started to answer, but Ria shouted, "Wiz, you idiot!" This made Kazuma bite back his response, and he mentally started to panic as he tried to figure out a response that wouldn't incriminate him, or expose Wiz.
