A bird?

Feeling confident in your work, you placed your hands on your circle and channel your energy into it. The lines began to glow and it almost felt like a vortex was forming before you. Colorful rays of light began to form inside the circle, bending to take shape. As the light formed and began to become solid, you could make out what looked to be a bird. The next second the glowing stops and in the middle of your circle is a bird standing about one and a half feet tall. It was brilliant combination of red and yellow, unlike any bird you have ever seen, with a small crest of feathers on its head. It stood there looking at you inquisitively. You reach out with a finger and begin to gently stroke its head and neck.

"Cool, a Phoenix! Just like your house." Parisa said.

You look over to her desk and see a small baby red fox curled up in her arms. "Is that what he is?" You ask. "I have never seen one before. Your familiar is cute though. She suits you." You smile to her.

Parisa smiles back and turns a little red. "Thank you! You're too kind."

"Ah, what?!" You hear Lee exclaim. You turn to see he has summoned a pile of rocks.

"What is that?" You ask. "I thought you could only summon creatures. Not rocks." As you finish, you see the small pile of rocks begin to move. It takes the shape of a small person; standing just under one foot tall with two arms and two legs made of smaller rocks. "Well now, that's kind of cool." You say as the small rock man begins to walk around Lee's desk as if on patrol.

"Very well done." Professor Hobbins says stopping in front of your desk. "It has been a long time since a student managed to summon a phoenix familiar. I think the last was Hariman Ashcroft over sixty years ago." At the mention of the Ashcroft name, you look to the front of the class to see Harmony looking back at you. Her eyes were narrowed into a slight scowl. You could see on her desk what appeared to be a small bear but it was covered in feathers and had a sharp beak instead of a maw.

"I thought a Phoenix was supposed to be on fire or something?" You say to the professor.

"They have to learn that little trick. And even when they do, they don't stay that way all the time. It will come in time." Professor Hobbins addresses the entire class again. "That is just about all the time we have for today. I suggest you all read up on your familiars. They will need to be fed and provided for. If you have need for any food or supplies you can't find on your own, Mr. Lockman oversees the creature pens off the Seven Winds courtyard to the east of campus. He can help find what you may need and already expects students to be coming by the next few days."

With that the bell tolls to dismiss you from class. You gather your things and look to your phoenix trying to decide how best to carry him. As if knowing what you are thinking, the phoenix flaps his wings and hovers before you. You extend your arm and the bird lands, gripping your forearm. "This should work for now." You stroke your new familiar on his head and neck again. "I should probably come up with a name for you."

Parisa comes over, her backpack on with a baby fox head sticking out the top to rest on her shoulder. "He is pretty handsome." She says extending a finger to lightly caress under the phoenix's beak. "Maybe we can get them together later to see if they will be friends?" Parisa began to slightly turn red again. "We could do some studying too."

"Yeah, I would like that." You say giving her a smile.

"Come by House Pegasus any time after class. I'm in room fourteen." She looks over to Lee who has now joined the two of you. "We could make it a study group if you wanted to join Lee."

Lee's face lit up. "Oh yeah? I would love that."

"Cool. It's a date." Parisa exclaimed before heading out to her next class. You and Lee both watched her cute round ass as she exited.

"I could suck a fart out of an ass like that." Lee said. "Think she likes me?" He asked.

"She did invite you to her room." You joke as the two of you head for the door.

"Only after inviting you." Lee laughs. "You should put in a good word for me."
