A beast long forgotten

He moved through the sewers, his mind focused as it always was on the mission. He was moving toward the meetup point with the others as he had been instructed. As he did that, he thought of the girl from earlier who had given him the details of his job. He'd wanted to eat her as he had been left so hungry on his end, and she had a good amount of meat on her bones.

Though he knew better than to do that. Not for any moral reasons, as he would happily have eaten dozens of children if that was what was required. She was just as important, as she was currently the only one who could get him in contact with his new employer. It was a strange thing to have one of those before he worked for glorious Russia. Now he worked for somebody else, and he found himself not as angry about that as he thought he would be.

Though it wasn't surprising considering the nature of his work. Still, with all those years of service, the least Mother Russia could have done was bring his body home rather than leaving it to rot in an American sewer. He shook his head, though it hurt, as he was still getting used to his new eyes sticking out of his head rather than being inside of it as they had been before.

Though the new nearly three sixty view made up for it. As Batman would find it much harder to trap him again with his new vision. Though he had lost his old cyborg arm, he had gained a new one. He looked at it for a moment and stopped taking in his new appendage, figuring he would check its usefulness. He used it to pick up debris nearby and crushed it with little effort, proving the new part's strength.

He snapped it fast and heard a thump on the other side of the sewer. He went over and saw the damage and knew he had gained a fine weapon. Though it would not be as versatile as his old arm, it would do for the job. His testing over, he double-timed it towards the meeting place. So it was that he walked into a chamber just like the one he died in, where eight aquatic monsters were waiting there for him.

He looked around, seeing his team. Which was a weird thing to have, as he had always worked alone. Though he supposed after his **** it would be expected for him to make such a change. Besides, they were needed for the mission. He walked over to the center in the other room, gathering from around the room.

" We have a mission you all well perform well." He said simply in a calm voice with his Russian accent that somehow made it clear failure would not be tolerated. He looked over them and saw something that would make the operation more difficult he saw that none of them were fighters. Sure their new bodies made them dangerous but from the way they carried themselves it was obvious they had no fight traing or experience in combat.

That fact would make the operation more difficult but not impossible. He would just have to be creative with the use of their abilities and use surprise to amplify their effectiveness further. He had each of them demonstrate their bodies capabilities so he knew what he was working with. Once he was satisfied he began planning out his ge was going to get his mission targets.

Once he was sure if the plan he had come up with he called his contact with the device he had been given. " We are ready to proceed." He said inti his contact after giving the operation codes. Once the right amount of time had passed he got an answer from his contact.

"Good, your targets are weak from constant fights. You cannot fail." Spoiler said the unsaid that failure would be seen poorly, especially with targets weakened before they ever arrived. He confirmed the message and made his way out with eight new aquatic teammates eager to see Batman once again, and this proved he was the best in the world, as he should have done before the coward decided to leave him to starve in a chamber than fight him.
