A bakery.

Her foot reaches down and feels something stable to stand on. She lets go and slides down from the top of the wall onto a table. She jumps off the counter and finds it hard to make out anything in the room due to the lack of light. She looks up and sees all the windows are frosted glass, not providing a lot of light besides the window she climbed through. Putting her hand on the wall, she glides it along the surface until she finds a light switch. Flicking the switch, the lights turn on and illuminate the room.

“I didn’t think that would actually work.”

Turning her attention to the rest of the room, she is immediately greeted by a massive oven. In the center of the room sits an industrial baking oven, at a massive size that she has never seen before. It takes up the majority of the room and has multiple access slots to fit dozens upon dozens of baking sheets. Curved counters are arranged around the oven, each station equipped with different tools.

She takes a step towards it and almost slips as her foot skids before finding grip. She looks down to see a white powder cakes the entirety of the floor in the room. She reaches down and pinches a small amount in her fingers. She holds it up to her nose, smells it, then quickly licks it.

“Powdered sugar.”

She looks up at the stations in the middle and sees the whole place is in disarray. Kitchen tools are strewn across counter tops, a bread rack is toppled over and lies on its side. She begins to walk the perimeter of the room before a loud metal clattering sound scares her. She looks to the source and sees the cat. The cat has knocked over a bake pan while it navigates a countertop in the corner.

“YOU!”

She starts to run at the cat, before it jumps up and over a small open window on top of the door. As Kara runs, the slick powdered surface trips her again, this time, sending her to the ground. She lands on her stomach and slides for a bit, kicking up sugar in the process. She slowly rolls on her back from the pain.

“Oh! Urgh.” She stands up and sees her outfit has almost turned completely white. She tries her best to pat down the sugary material and reaches for the door. Locked.

A buzzer sounds out as she tries the handle.

“Door is locked until…” a computerized voice speaks.

Kara tries the door again.

“Door is locked until…”

“Door is locked…”

“Door…”

“Door…”

“D…”

“D…”

Kara is vigorously trying the door handle. The system voice interrupts itself after each of Kara’s attempts.

“Door is locked until the localized experiment is finished.”

“Localized experiment, what does that mean?”

She lets go of the door handle and surveys the room for anything that resembles a computer. By the main oven in the center of the room, Kara notices a control panel that she couldn’t see before. A small red light on the terminal is shining across all the stainless steel surfaces. Kara marches over to the control panel to see what she can do. She presses the button by the light and the rest of the buttons light up. A small LED display panel in the middle turns on and reveals some commands.

“Enable machine 1. Enable machine 2. Disable machine 3. [Error] Reboot machine 4.”

Kara becomes confused. She looks around and has trouble finding anything in the room labeled like the machines on the console. She turns back to the control panel as she places her thumb on the direction pad.
