A Whip

Marian looks imploringly at me and mouthing the words I hoped to hear first, a flicker of power later and now held in her hands is a pair of whips. One is short, maybe eight inches long with marbles woven into the leather threads. As I was creating the whip from scratch however, I could take a few liberties, such as having the leather infused with salt and lemon juice, ensuring that each subsequent slash of the whip would cause any open wounds to be so much more painful than a regular whip.

The second and longer whip was an altogether different beast, a bullwhip with a sharkskin coating. The handle of the second whip is long and has a large bulbous head at the base, about the size of a apple, the rest of the handle is coated in sandpaper. Not an impediment to the wielded as Marian dons a pair of leather gloves, but I knew that the whipping itself was only the first part of Jester’s first day of training.
