A VIRUS

A hundred years ago, circa 1925-1930 a vampire ancestor paid his respects at a funeral and was exposed, now viruses can persist on dead surfaces or in dead bodies for a period of time and potentially transmit to a living organism that comes into contact with the infected dead tissue.

When his father came into contact with the corpse he was infected, although considered dead his regenerative cells to heal himself are living, the virus attached to his living cells and multiplied having an unexpected result. The father's organs and bodily functions, (breathing, a heart beat, a pulse, and sperm production) were restored to their previous states.

The virus had an unexpected side affect, it reestablished his skin color, returning his teeth to normal, as well as his fathers ability to be in the sun, and see his reflection while leaving his vampire abilities and powers unaffected, at the same time taking away his weaknesses....sunlight, fire, wooden stakes, decapitation, garlic, holy objects, and water.
