True to Cartier's word Thereaux is in a small room with three desks, two filing cabinet and a small wardrobe rack stuffed with clothing that are super popular with the teens nowadays. His back is to me as I knock before entering, once more waiting until told to come in. Thereaux turns noticing me, motioning me in as he eyes me top to toe

"Christ I can't see this unit could fail with a lead field operative like you Carly!"

"Oh on first name bases are we Darren?" His smile disappears, and his stance becomes a bit rigid. In no time he makes me feel like I'm the asshole not him.

"Okay I was way off when I suggested you could go far if your went out with me!" Did I just hear a kind of apology from Sergeant Darren Thereaux, then what he says next does floor me. "But when his honor asked for possible people to fill out our little squad, you were the first one to come to my mind." Coming closer "I mean you are every guys cream dream Carly if you don't mind me saying!"

I can feel the blush coming to my face, because I never thought of myself that way. Luckily I'm saved further embarrassment when a knock comes to the door
